Great video about some great bikes. What about the racers--motocross and speedway? I had a 1970 CZ 250MX that was the most fun I have had with my clothes on. JAWA forever!

I owned a 175 jawa back in like 1962. Really a cool bike dependable and what I really liked was the kicker , gear shift and clutch were all one . This worked great for me when I delivered packages for a drug store and could only use one hand to drive. Great video brings back lots of memiors. From USA.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

From the kind of machines that Jawa had in the Sixties, they had the potential to be a great world-class motorcycle manufacturer today. When compared to what current motorcycle manufacturers were offering back then, Jawa was far ahead in the game ! Trinidad & Tobago.

Nádherné video a zvýrazněné krásnými blues. Jawa je něco zvláštního. Ve třídě 50cc však byly některé modely, které nebyly tak dobré. Jelikož Samson už byl naprosto skvělý.

Great video, I even liked the music (rare). I suppose the Jawa Robot was a utilitarian "worker's" special. Kind of like the RAM Tradesman pickup. One of the bikes had a strong British influence. One looked like it should be racing a Bultaco Metralla down the road. The 50cc bikes strongly remind me of the current crop of e-bikes. Nobody really knows what will catch on with the public.

I owned a Java 250cc back in the 90s when I was in college in India. Remember riding my bike to Goa (the Mexico of India ! ) on the weekends. The bike and the engine is built like a tank, solid and reliable. Never once failed on me on my long rides. A unique feature on my bike was that the gear shifter and the kick starter are the same. You have to push the gear shaft inside with your ankle and the lever flips back and becomes the kick start. After you start the engine and release the kick start, it flip to the front and becomes the shifter. Lots of fun !

My dream bike....JAWA i rode the bike during 1975 when iwas twelve years old.in my home country INDIA.. JAWA Indian made.realy iwill not forget Taste of this ultimate bike

My first motorcycle was a 1974 CZ road bike. The kick start lever doubled as the transmission gear lever. I owned it for 12 years and then let it go to waste. I miss that bike!

I had the 350 two stroke twin with sidecar. Four years of trouble free riding. With the sidecar off, the bike handled very well and though not as quick as an RD350 (not by a long shot!) it could hold its own on twisty country roads because its handling was so good. All in all a bike I'd love to own again, lots of neat features to make the owners life easier, such as the interchangeable wheels, the oil injection, the very clever kickstarter/gearchange lever in one, fold back to start, swing forward for gear changing. It got better as the mileage added up, I reckon it could easily be tuned to give more power. Very reliable and I liked the looks too!

My heart was bleeding for one in the old country during the sixties. I rode a Jawa 250 though for a short while, while a friend was using my 250 Pannonia for training. It was like a dream. Only well to do men could afford a brand new Jawa 250 or a 350. I made up for the loss in 1999 when I bought my Kawasaki Voyager XII.

Ah, my very first motorcycle was a red Jawa 90 Trail! Bought in 1972!

I had a Type 23 (50 cc) one in that yellow paint; I had enormous amount of fun with it on hilly dirt tracks until the piston broke. :)

I rode a friend's 175 in the early 70s, and in 2006-7 I owned a 1989 350 twin. Good bikes, reliable and handled OK. The 350 was almost fast.

When I was at Czech.Rep. (5 years ago), I visited the JAVA musium (Gava is pronunciation there)... Till today they are crazy about their Java product & me too. Really, It was awesome design of that time. I love Czech. technology,traditions and people... JAVA bikes should reintroduce in market.

When l was a kid, 1950’s , monkey ward and sears and Roebuck sold bikes that looked like these bikes, ended up with several Honda’s but always liked the looks of the jawa’s.

I remember the ones at 4:46. We had them till the 80's in India. I was in school at that time.. I simply love the sound of that bike. After Jawa we had Yezdi classic and Yezdi Road king. After owning all the suzuki's Honda's and the like..(entry level ones though. I am not rich.) I would love to get one of these. These may not be technically advanced, or fuel efficient.. but still, I would love to ride them for the sheer pleasure of the sound and the pride of riding the classic ones. Jawa is coming back to India again. Resurrection. Just waiting for the launch. Let me see if I can get one of them soon.

Recuerdo a esas motos JAWA excelentes, estuvieron en Guatemala hace muchos años , algo así como en el 48 y 50 , vinieron juntas con la CZ la cual me gustaba más por ser más pequeña , eran de CHECOESLOVAQUIA , también estaban las bicicletas guswarna o algo así.

All beautiful restored bikes !!

O1967 to 1975 , I had JAWA , what I found in its Engine Series of Gear Changing that 3rd. Gear doesn't sit its connecting position fully and Engine gets dis connected to its usual route . I think the same problem is yet existing. 2nd problem is over flow of Carborater, these were the problems which seprated my mind and I sold .

That music though....

In the 70 s I sold Jawas and CZ s in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, USA---A sad time when I was forced to close the shop.
