1.Go around the ball to first, don’t go to far 2.Big steps then small steps 3.Right-left field, show your glove when right foot hits, field the ball when your left foot hits, and keep loose elbows. 4.Right-left,left to target. 5.Break when left foot leaves. 6.Shoot the arrow with fingers on top, have a short arm action and have a V, don’t let the ball get wet from the waist down. 7.Keep the glove low. 8.Follow the ball.

Hi Matt, Just watched this video breakdown for the first time. Have you been at some of my practices? I'm sending this to my team. They're going to accuse me of stealing from you. Hopefully, it helps them by hearing that your terminology and key words are almost identical to what I've been teaching them. Great stuff. Thanks for helping teach all of us with your videos.

When you're presenting the glove, is your glove hand just hanging limply or are you spreading your fingers wide to open up the pocket as much as possible? How much tension should there be in your fingers and hand when fielding the ball?

When your feeling the ball in the infield do you have to throw an actual fourseam to first or any other base or can you just have a fourseam grip on the ball but not with the laces lining up and throw it?

i never worry about laces. if it is wet then try to grip the seams, but if you throw hard and have a good release point it shouldnt matter about seams. at third i like to do a pump (take ball out of glove, then put it back in to get the grip, then separate hands and throw) if it is wet. when taking the ball out of my glove i normally feel the ball for any part of the seams so i know i have it good. if i am throwing side arm i have to hook the seams. imagine the where you see twos seams going horizontally, i hook two fingers on the bottom seam, and get 3 fingers and thumb on the ball when wet. just depends on position and how you throw

baez is okay. but if you want to review a great player, you should review a platinum glove - Arenado. In my opinion 3rd base(hot corner) is the best and most challenging position in the infield. Idk about you guys but i enjoy the long throw in the infield (The rush when the ball is hit to you and your arm depends if the runner's out since 3rd base you gotta have a fast reaction, a gun and accuracy). Arenado makes it look easy! making plays from his knees 130+ft away! With no hops either! just straight arm gas to the 1st basemen! please review his mechanics

I think it was hit so slow that he should have charged it and scooped it. Seemed like the batter didn’t give much effort running or he would have been safe. Maybe he saw that the batter was lallygagging out of the box and decided to get in front of it though. That is the type of shit that gains and loses fans. A nice charging close play at first or a routine play with the batter jogging down the line. That is baseball’s #1 problem. Lack of effort. Fans don’t want to hear about a long 162 game schedule blah blah. They are there for THAT game. They deserve to see 100% effort. Guys have guaranteed contracts and they are not playing hard. Kind of funny that the guys that don’t seem to play harder. I wouldn’t give anyone more than a 4 year contract. Got kids from the farm that will outplay them.

It’s easier to make an error scooping it, as he can only use one hand(glove). Any bad hop, he has his bare hand to help it in the glove Javy used both hands to collect the ball and fire it. A
