Argentina first has to go through hell even worse than now in the process to change their currency to the USD standard. Then he has to destroy all corruption and dismantling of the government agencies which will lead to massive lay-offs and therewith negatively influence the economy (less jobs = less money to spend = less spending = economic crisis). And only after going through that, Argentina will be able to grow into a LATAM superpower and in the meantime Javier needs to be careful of not getting murdered considering that he will make an insane amount of enemies and on top of that, in order to accomplish this he will need to be re-elected various times before Argentina is where it should be. I truly hope that Argentinians understand that they first will have to go through hell for a long time to achieve a better life.

I was in Argentina during their elections and talked to many people who prayed for this man to be elected. He has a great vision but now must fight Congress to implements his plans. Only 1/3 of Congress is elected each cycle so his party is not a majority yet and public pressure must be applied to see that this President is supported and the future of Argentina moved in the right direction.

The only politician in the world that I respect.

His Spanish translates these complex concepts into English verbatim exceptionally clearly. that is not usually the case When moving from Spanish to English. It translates so well because of the precision and care he takes in his choice of the Spanish wording. He is choosing his words in order to not only be clearly understood in Spanish, but in other languages post translation too. This is intentional. He is exceptionally well educated and intelligent. An impressive man. As others have expressed below, I I pray for him and that he has a long and productive life.

in Argentina we speak Castellano, not Spanish. and while he gives an eloquent speech, since he took office, out gas prices went up 27 percent, public transport, meat and more went through the roof, natural resources being privatized and tons of people who voted for him are storming the web with videos literally crying they regret voting for him. Amazing how people fall for a bunch of empty words.

That many people who had jobs dependant on government would experience short term hardship. Argentinians ( 57% ) correctly voted for him regardless, choosing 4 the 1st time in the West to actually think long term ... Stay the course. What kind of truth sorry? Milei says that State is the problem so what kind of community does he imagine? Does he wants - or not - public hospitals, public instruction, public administration? Welfare, in short terms. State is the problem? If it's true, what would be worst than the porpouse to give Argentina's monetary sovranity to another State, USA actually? Moreover, if problem is the State, problem would be also Parliament and Justice, or what a kind of Parliament and Justice a NON State could guarantee? If truth is to fight for People rights, Milei is a brand new enemy to fight against.

In any event, the *fundamental premise* of his speech - that the rapid economic growth that the world has seen since 1800 is due to "unregulated free trade capitalism," as he calls it, is simply false, and provably so. One simply needs to look at the growth of GDP (both overall and per-capita) in communist countries like the USSR and the PRC. Moreover, even in the "capitalist" Western countries, there's always been a significant degree of state intervention in the economy, and in fact America's period of rapid industrialization (from the mid 19th century to early 20th) happened not during a period of "free trade," but one of protectionism - under the model known at the time as the "American System," which included (among other things) high protective tariffs. One can debate the relative merits of various different economic systems, but the main cause of increased growth over the past 200 years or so is *TECHNOLOGY* and greater and more efficient use of energy. To the extent that his implied premise - that there was more free market capitalism between 1800 and today than between 1 AD and 1800 - is even true, he's conflating correlation (and a rather weak one, I would say) with causation.
