Coach, I am nearly positive that in a previous podcast, you said the only fighter who ever hurt Khabib in a fight was Michael Johnson. Can you please confirm this, thank you.

Didn’t hurt him. But hit him with the best punch out of all his fights. No has ever hurt Khabib in the 12 years i have been with him. But Michael got the best shot in

Nice insight. But I actually think that it was genius on Khabib's part by not kicking more other than using the kicks and the knees for setting up his takedowns considering that his legs were his most important tools through footwork, half guard and full guard positions, so I never understood why Javier wanted him to kick more. Why would he risk comprimising his legs when he needed strong hips and legs during his ground and pound with the half guard positions and the hooks locked tightly? Imagine if Alex had recovered from the head kick in round 1 and Islam had to fight him for another full 4 rounds considering that he was limping after the fight, which ended quickly. He wouldn't have been able to fully do the trips, throws, sweps, hooks, full guard and half guard positions.

He wouldn't be limping at any point in the fight even if Volk survived that kick it's called adrenaline rush 😂..I guess you've never fought before

@@Chille10 What's your fight record? Read my comment again; I said that he was limping after the fight. And if you even have done some striking and grappling, you should know that whatever damage you observe eventually is going to work against you but fighting against it takes a lot of strong will and a champion heart. There's no need to make things more difficult when you're already in battle; it's all about fight IQ and will to win.

@@alcottdevalte7440 ey bruh first of all there's nothing smart about no kicking in a fight or whatever you're saying and in Khabib's case it wasn't even by choice his kicking just sucked...second I don't need to be in a cage to know about Adeline rush in fighting or some dumb fighting record I've had multiple street fights just like everyone else to know that..this guy just asked my fight record 😂
