J Will is such a legend, never hit the ceiling he could have reached, but he was never about the ceiling and living to outsiders expectations. He was an artist with a basketball, those highlights are some of the best from any Point Gaurd. White Chocolate is one of the best nicknames and his stories are some of the best. Glad this dude got a ring with the Heat. It's cool to see he never left basketball and basketball never left him after retirement, he does a great job teaching and coaching young players, and left handed cigarettes is a phrase I'm going to use from now on lol.

f*ck yeah!, FIRST time I saw Nick Anderson we were playing pick up games at the U of I IMPE gym, my homie Steve, all 5' 9" of him, had this crazy thunder dunk move that ruled the gym, Nick came in and blocked that sh*t ran it the other way and did an ESPN highlight poster-izer on Steve.......WORDS cannot describe it, the "AWWW!" was deafening and Steve lectured the whole bunch with "NOT A ONE OF YOU MUTHA F*CKERS COULD DO THAT SH*T TO ME!", we got to know them pretty good-Kendal Gill and Steve Bardo's girlfriends rented the apartment above ours, super f*cking cool dudes, the next basketball season was the '88/'89 Flyin' Illini, gone were the high tighties and in were the knee length.......watch anything about the Fighting Illini in 1988 and 1989, they set a brand new standard from the uniforms all the way to how they played the game, and Nick Anderson is my all-time favorite Illini basketball player ever, 1st pick of the brand new Orlando Magic franchise

He was a great player, fun to watch, but it's a messed up world. Guys who otherwise would be working the register at a convenience store, homeless, or in prison are wealthy and respected just because of playing a game. Always makes me SMH how some people can't appreciate the sports ability while also realizing the man isn't respectable.

He was smoking weed man. Not abusing alchohol or pharamceuticals. The latter which you can obtain legally from your university or NBA doctor and become addicited to an even worse extent than what you are suggesting. The NBA has already stopped testing for it. In 22 the NCAA raised the threshold for THC in their tests, and in 23, the NCAA committee recommended dropping it altogther from their banned substances. Its extremely archaic to still scrutinize people, especially athletes who use it for mental and physical pain management. With the amount of research and studies available to us, theres really no reason for anyone to be against it.

Give up a great opportunity at UF to smoke pot. I’m sure he thinks it sounds cool, but it’s ignorant to throw away an opportunity to look or sound cool. Great passer and entertaining but he still sounds like he is trying to relive his early 20’s. Sadly I knew some guys like him back in the day.
