Babe Ruth REMAINS the best MLB player in MLB history.

Everybody who played in the MLB at the time was a White American, his competition sucked.

I disagree. Literally everyone is the past decade in MLB has sucked except for I’d say 5 players. Todays generation of MLB players absolutely suck. I’m sorry but it’s true. In babes Ruth’s era they were phenominal. PS: someone’s skin color has nothing to do with how good someone is at baseball. That’s common sense. It’s about the person, not the skin color. Skin color gives you absolutely no advantage in sports

@@austinshannon4197 no where did I say skin color makes someone better. I highlighted that a mere fraction of the global population had access to that league. My thesis was his competition sucked. I never see anybody make the case that a player in negro leagues was one of the best players ever. There were other leagues that existed at the time. Most Americans can't name five negro league players, because of a racist system that existed. Using logic my guess is that at least a handful of those players would also be among the best ever. Considering as soon as intergration happened non-White players also started to be considered among the best players ever by the broader society. Nobody seriously believes that Jesse Owens was the best sprinter ever. That's Bolt. Babe is mythologised irrationally in America by a large segement of the population. Outside of that sphere, that occurs less, prescisely because of the point I'm making, which I think is a fair one.

Incorrect, Babe Ruth never played against a Hispanic or black pitcher and they raised the pitching round after he was done playing...Babe Ruth is an all time great but not the greatest of all time

Samuel Jackson is in a lot of Capital One commercials....and hes doing just fine. And theres plenty of other actors doing THEIR JOB ..its called acting, that are in both movies and commercials etc. Brad Pitt does commercials too. Is this a new revelation for you that actors take all kinds of acting jobs?

  • @gphillimo

He's not hurting for money.Taco Bell is paying him over half a million dollars per commercial. Who wouldn't come in for 1 maybe 2 days worth of shooting time for 500k per commercial? Pete Davidson wasn't hurting for money when he was the Taco Bell guy right before Jason either. Doesn't matter if a serious actor, even an Oscar winner, if these companies offer you millions of dollars to do an ad campaign, you're taking it. Everything from cars to food commercials are using big name celebrities in their ads now. Doing commercials is no longer seen as bad for your career if you wanna be big time
