This was EASILY the best dance of the season. He kept that energy up the entire dance, next to some stellar pro dancers too! Dani’s choreography is unmatched. She’s neck and neck with Mark, in my opinion, in figuring out how to make their partners shine and really choreographing for them as individuals while still keeping true to the dance styles. Top five freestyle of all time right here and the winners in my book.

dani and mark are my top 2 fav pros! they both know how to keep the focus on the celebrity and not themselves! i think that’s what consistently puts them on top!

I know 46 years old isn't ancient, but Jason being able to dance instep with pro dancers half his age was really impressive.

​@StarlordNoah Yessss I feel like he started slipping because he kept doing energetic routines for the first 3 weeks or so. Then when it was time to do an actual ballroom routine, he wasn't ready. So while everyone was already where they needed to be, Jason had just gotten started learning actual ballroom. Once he'd mastered it, he was back on the top.

really wish he won but so so proud of him regardless. easily the best freestyle of night - dani's choreo never misses. truly loved their partnership!!

The fact that Dani was in pain this whole show... blows my mind. She is a force to be reckoned with. Jason was a great partner choice for her. Amazing routing and a killer season!

this. this is how you do a FREESTYLE. this was easily the best one i saw all night. they had a great balance of just the two of them and backup dancers. he was just so joyous to watch and man he brought the technique and energy to this freestyle. i’m gonna miss watching him dance every week

This was awesome. Great footwork. Best Freestyle in a long time. Filled with a variety of dance styles, super fast, and filled with energy and exciting. The whole dance was entertaining. This was so so GREAT!! The Dynamic Duo! I love how he always thanks Daniella. He is grateful and graceful. They compliment each other so well and obviously respect each other too. And I'm also happy Jason Mraz and Daniella came in 2nd, fantastic show tonight, I really enjoyed it. 🤩👏🏼 So glad Jason came in 2nd. He deserved it!

This dance should have absolutely sealed the win for them! Daniella is a phenomenal choreographer & they crushed this from beginning to end! Their energy stayed full speed the entire time. I’ve watched it an embarrassing amount of times. So good!!!!

Still not over this. The thing I love about him is that he genuinely looks like he is having so much fun and is having the time of his life. His facial expressions! He is my winner idc

Jason had the best freestyle dance, by far! Daniella is amazing and she brought out the best in Jason.

This freestyle was unmatched with any performer. Len would’ve loved it so much. I stood up and applauded in my living room and cried because I was so proud of him. This was epic. I do think he should’ve won, but second place is awesome too! Love him so much!

I’ve watched this so many times it’s crazy. One of my favorite freestyles EVER!!

I absolutely love this routine! I definitely believe that they were robbed of the win. They were so great together! The dance moves were out of this world! They deserved to WIN!

This is SO FRIGGIN' GOOD!!!!

Daniella is SUCH a force! I love when she pulls her pant legs up - that's how you know it's time to get down with the get down! What a brilliant routine! Doesn't hurt that this is one of my all time favorite songs to dance to, lol. I shared it on my Facebook like a decade ago with the caption "Cue the dance shoes!"

In my opinion Jason should have won DWTS, hands down! That was a really difficult number that required tons of kicks, turns, rhythmic response, outstretched hands, face gestures, flips, etc. No one else could have pulled off that number. It took really two seasoned artists, plus a back-up of seasoned pros, to pull this off. I hope Jason knows we were all rooting and cheering for him. First place isn't bad and certainly commendable. He'll always be the top dog in this contest without the trophy but with the biggest heart! Daniella is positive perfection.

This performance was perfection on every level! They won as far as I'm concerned 🪩

As spectacular as all of the freestyles were, this was the best danced. Daniela did not let up on Jason with all of that footwork. The energy never goes down and that final swing around is typical Daniela epicness. LOVED LOVED LOVED. They had all my votes last night.

So much freestyle choreography in this and past finals is hiphop and not terribly original, but Jason's dance and Dani's choreography were excellent. They should have won.

YES! This is how to do a freestyle! A couple of the other freestyles felt like you wouldn't even know who the pro partner was if you hadn't been watching all season -- they were more solo spectacles. This was a true partnership and a joy to watch. Team DJ forever!

the most perfect partnership to ever come out of dwts😢 jason always nailed dani’s perfect choreography. it’s so rare to have such an amazing duo as them and i’m sad they didn’t win, but still so proud for them! hands down this is one of the best freestyles to ever come out of this show!

Been watching this video on repeat since yesterday. Great dance, great choreography and you just feel the fun they are having doing this performance.
