Technically, it is not "faking audio", which is a very pejorative way to say it. It is called SOUND DESIGN. Legit step to go through in post production as long as it is done right and with taste. Which, as far as I'm concerned, is perfectly done by Jason, years before video editing became as accessible as it is now. Anyone who thinks the opposite, is ignorant to the topic.

Leo has always been an amazing skateboarder.

You can understand it's a common method of post production without being a fan of it. Obviously hes done well in the industry choosing to treat skating using sound design techniques from narrative filmmaking but I do think the people who like the documentary ethics of "what you capture is what you present" shouldn't be shamed. Not trying to hate blindly, just presenting a valid point of view.
