I agree, but what is sad is that the best compliment he will ever get is "Wow, he sounds just like Jimmy Page". He is such a great guitar player, it would be nice to hear him come up with his own songs and solos.

@DannyintheSpirit no, what's the point? You're missing the point. The point is that he's a phenomenon who plays better than Page himself. On the other side of the coin you've only seen him play in Zeppelin tribute bands. When have you ever seen him play behind closed doors? When you are better than the real thing, and so much so that you get snagged out of the second best Zeppelin tribute band only to be put up front in the very best with Bonham's son, With the 2 billlion guitar players out there why would he possibly want to do anything diffrent? This is his dream come true! That was a really dumb thing to have said. That something that a person says who has absolutely no idea of what's really going on.

I don’t understand tribute bands .. yes they have talent yes Jason Bonham is the son of John .. however tribute bands can and never will replace the original band nor their talents nor the LZ mystic .. I know JB is in another band with Joe Bonnamassa and others .. so take all that talent and create your own stuff Rock on!!!good luck

@@gregbeck8895 Off-topic, but, that’s how I’ve always felt about Kobe Bryant. Just because he was the best of the Jordan imitators doesn’t mean he deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence and placed at the same level as Jordan. You make good points about Jason. Sure, he can play LIKE his dad, but, that doesn’t mean he’s deserving of the John-like accolades he’s gotten since he’s been on the scene, going on 35 years now.

@@Fakename70funny how I'm watching a Zep tribute band and find a comment by someone who feels the same way I do about Kobe 😂. I understand he was good but he just tried too hard to mimic Jordan. (of course, if you're going to play like anyone might as well choose the best, Page and Jordan, right?)

I get what you mean, its perfect but there is no danger/threat of him going off the rails like Page could sometimes do. Live, I felt like Page's brain exceeded his physical skill level, but watching him/listening him go for it without pause was magical.

When I spoke to him, he told me that what I said was absolutely perfect; Me; "you can play Page's individual notes so perfectly that you know exactly what he does as a whole. All the mistskes he made live, you knew exactly what he was attempting to do, and you just bride the gaps. You use the only things that could have podsibly fit by the way they started finished or were in the middle. It's like you are thinking 5 steps ahead and make them flawlessly complete." Mr.Jimmy; ありがとう、ありがとう!私は彼が何を演奏したかを予測し、彼が見逃した音を正確に演奏します".

It's like you are thinking 5 steps ahead and make them flawlessly complete." Mr.Jimmy; ありがとう、ありがとう!私は彼が何を演奏したかを予測し、彼が見逃した音を正確に演奏します"

Jason and I are about the same age. We are both drummers, with him being way more successful of course. But, honestly, I was so damn proud of him and his drumming at the Led Zeppelin 02 Arena concert in 2007.

1:17:57 very 06/23/77, the best No Quarter of all time. The effect on the electric piano is the exact same level. Fantastic job, this is an excellent show!

Okay guys... your assignment is to go out there and sound like Led Zeppelin. Not an enviable task and these guys do it in a great and enjoyable way. It takes talent and GUTS to pull this off.

Remember seeing Jason play the Fforde Greene in Leeds in the 80s. His band was too loud to appreciate the music but from this concert they all sound pretty good. Great vocals and faithful to the cause. Rock on bro.

It's hard for me to grasp that Jason is almost 25 years older than his dad. I'm glad he's out there celebrating his father's legacy by playing hi s songs, but, and maybe it's only me, but I just can't get into the guitar player who's miming Jimmy - especially since he's the only one trying to play a role. His playing is great, but I've just never gotten into that sort of thing, unless it's done as camp theater. Having said that, if they were playing near me, I'd surely be there!

I get what you are thinking , but sometimes you really want to play like your heroes , and some people can do that if they have the talent. Jimmy Sakurai is brilliant , so much so that Jimmy Page flew to Tokyo to see him play. Here's what happened...kzread.info/dash/bejne/o3pnptVpgq6bhKQ.html

Promoters have to offer them gigs. Most bands don’t book their own tours like that. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did go soon. It takes their booking agent being able to string enough gigs/$offers together to make it feasible

Although I do love this as a whole, I was hoping the solo(s) on Thank You would be longer/more elaborate. The BBC Sessions version, the Page/Plant Unledded ones, or borrowing a bit from one of the many bootlegs. I seek out live Thank You solos, there is a Montreaux one that is rather great. But overall I love this.❤

What I LOVE about Jason is he is HUMBLE. He only knew his pops for what, 8 years? Im sure he would rather have his father be a farmer and know him for 50 years, but he was dealt the cards he got. If you dont know his band Bonham from the 80s, it is a must buy...Disregard of Timekeeping is the title...it KILLS.
