Jason Anderson was triggered by Jett Lawrence...

San Diego Supercross gave us some incredible racing during the 450 main event, followed by some of the most drama we have seen in a long time when rookie Jett Lawrence confronted him post race, resulting in a small physical altercation. The following days saw a social media post by Anderson go more than viral, and Ando wanted to come on the podcast to clear the air.
What was your take on the whole situation?

Anderson is the man. Big fan of both of them. Jett is young and will learn. This whole thing is not a big deal.

Jetson disrespected a Champion and that shows his arrogance and immaturity.

I feel like Jason’s problem is more with Jett’s camp than with Jett. I get that they want it smoothed over. Won’t amount to anything in a few rounds

The only disappointing thing about the rivalry between Jett and JA, is the way the US media and fans reacted.

This wouldn't be a thing if it was anybody besides Jett.

Fandom in general, be it in sports, music, movies, love to lift their idols to the top and cheer the loudest and the longest for their new media darling. What they seem to love more, however, is to rip that very same person back to Earth and make them suffer disproportionately for any misstep.. It's the price we pay to live in a cancel culture where you don't just fade away from fame and glory, you are forced to walk through the streets (metaphorically) and have your so called fans sling shit at you repeating the word, "Shame" over and over again.. To me, if you're a fan of someone and they don't conduct themselves in a way that you support or agree with, then find someone else to idolize. There are tons of other riders out there. Pick one and move on. Jett will be fine without you. Jason will survive if you're not cheering for him. I promise.

Great interview. The questions that I wanted asked were "Do you think that Jett has a valid reason to be upset? Was your riding 100% legit or were you riding 'dirty' just to block Jett? Why were you not focused on catching Barcia at that point in the race. You both lost 10 seconds to Barcia. Why ride like that?" I know these are tough questions, but the fans want to know what was going on in each riders head. Keep up the great work guys. Love how chill Ando is in interviews.

Jett is a talented dude and believe he will get more championships, but to Andersons point of coming in with all the media attention, donuts, whatever good for him to make more dough, but I do want to see him hit rough patches and see the vets beat him. It would also be boring without the controversy or him just running away with everything. Ando is a legend and love to see him battling up front with all the other 30 year old legends taking it to the young guns.

Great interview - Jason has been on both sides of this type of situation and has the mind of a chill champion. Always presents as a guy you want to have a beer with and let him tell some of his crazy stories. Love it - Go get um 21!

Anderson is supposed to just accept the fact Jett is grabbing his helmet? What, because he is the veteran? Absolutely not ! I think Jett needs to apologize, from what I seen in the races Jett had no justification for doing that to Anderson.

El hombre has been around and Jett is a youngster. They both have passion to win and emotions are normal in sports.
