I’m an old man now and I’ve been lucky enough to participate in every sport you can think of, normal stuff like football to weird stuff like outrigger canoe, cyclocross you name it, motocross is by far the Hardest most physical thing by a lot.

From a purely fun perspective, most 450s have maps. If it's jerking your arms off use a slower setting.

The average joe isn't trying to race on a motocross track, they buy them for dirt roads and either dual sport or mild trail riding.. I've never rode dirt bikes, ever. Rode quads my whole life, and very little bike experience.. Just got my first dirt bike and it's a 450 husqvarna dual sport, for 90% street/dirt road riding, 10% woods.. it's a little sketchy in mud but nothing I camt handle. If I were trying to race I'd agree I should be in a 125-250 class if I were or if I were 100% woods and trail riding.. but for the street, i still feel it could have even more power on a 55mph highway.. it's awesome on the side streets, fire roads and dirt roads though...

The difference in privilege between him and adam is much smaller than him and the average family. You pretty much don't have a chance at a career in this sport if your parents can't afford a motor home. These guys getting jealous of the factory kids but they don't even realize how many kids can qualify for Lorrettas but just can't afford to even go. It's something I feel many of us wish we could change about the sport. Money has always been a factor in the sport but it seems it really went to another level when four strokes were introduced.
