God everything about this is amazing. The tamarin jumping on Conan at first, then dropping the banana out of his mouth, the lemur fucking off and finding a bag full of donuts, Conan feeding the donut to the lemur to have the tamarin crawl down his arm and steal it, the bird just flying in and squawking, and the lemur fucking off and climbing the set. They couldn't script anything better.

oh, I taped this episode and watched it over and over...the good OLD stuff...I even remember the OLD OLD Conan when I was a kid and fell asleep to the tv

This is, has been, and will always be, my absolute favorite point in television history! I remember I saw this the night it first aired: I was barely a teenager! I loved it so much, and was then totally hooked on Conan. The next day, as I was dragging my feet (until I got to the pop machine and took out a 20oz of mountain dew) the same as any other Monday after I'd stayed up to watch Hercules and Xena as any typical Sunday night for me at that age and during that time (Fox carried the most recent episodes of those 2, back to back, I think from 10 to 11 and 11 to 12, or 11 to 12 and 12 to 1am. I'm pretty sure it was the latter), I tried to find a friend, acquaintance, anyone who'd also seen it. I got lucky because I was able to find a bunch of people in my various circles who'd seen it too. Ah, just perfect TV. Extemporaneous, adult silliness due to interactions with untrained animals where no one is hurt or insulted, and everyone present finds ways to keep everything rolling without going off the rails? Just perfect for myself, and countless others. I might have thousands of TV/Movie/Online content parts that I absolutely love (Looking @you Dr. Horrible) and could never play "desert island" with.... but this will ways be my #1 favorite viewable moment! Hell, it's been over 20 years since this aired, and I've since loved lots of stuff.......... Just felt like I should mention this since I feel a weight in my chest area that I'm worried about....

I'm pretty sure it was done on purpose. They developed an act over the years which included controlled chaos. Just enough to startle everybody but the situation is generally under control.

One time when I was at the zoo, I saw a crane in an exhibit with the flamingos. I was looking for a sign about it so I could see what type of crane it was, but couldn’t find one. At that point, it flew off. It was just some crane that didn’t even belong in the zoo. 😂
