Marine Gulf War veteran here. We froze. Froston our equipment in the morning. Daytime had very little sunlight. Had a stretch of 40 hours continuous rain. Another night went to put my boot on for firewatch to find it had collected water from being directly under a hole in my tent. Miserable night.
