Man, I just looked up what he looks like this year (in 2024) - he's 52 or 53 and looks about the same. Zero discernable wrinkles, etc. Some people might say it's plastic surgery, etc., yet there's tons of other male celebs his age, or even far younger, like the Hemsworth bros who just look far more aged, and I think it's just genetics, looking at his mom. That and possibly just wearing sunscreen, lol - people have no idea how much the sun damages/ages skin, until it's too late...

The best thing a parent can ever want is for their kids to be grateful, and love their siblings. He just made his mom even prouder with that message to his brother.

Whenever I hear a speech like that I'm reminded that there's a reason winners win, and sometimes it isn't about popularity. Yes, he's young, white, male, thin, and conventionally good looking, but so are hundreds of others in Hollywood. He chose his script, vehicle, and had his reasons. You can hear this values, love, and humanity in his speech. His wisdom and passion for life and all the good it entails is why he won. So that he could give this speech and uplift even more people. Ferdinando Fallica they’re actors, if it isn’t either discussed or explicitly shown in the script, then an actor shouldn’t expect it. When the director yells cut and take a break, people just wanna chill or enjoy each other’s company, not deal with random rats

@@YEDxYED Things like that happen all the times on sets. They were just having fun with their characters. You weren't there. Stop being offended on others behalf. The director actually encouraged the "gift" thing.

Ferdinando Fallica it’s unnecessary 😂 Heath Ledger was said to be a treat on set so why couldn’t Jared. I mean, why go so hard on a film that didn’t even take itself seriously

@@YEDxYED Because the gift thing is not taking things so seriously. Were you on set with them? That was a fun thing to let the cast bond together while also having fun with their roles. It's not a big deal seriously.

More people should watch this video. Simply, because it shows us to never forget where you came from and show appreciation to those who have helped you to achieve success in your life. I have a new found respect for Jared. Not only for his shown appreciation. Also because he remains humble and realizes that not everyone is fortunate enough to chase their dreams. Hats off to him!!

J Leto s speech was absolutely remarkable . I’ve been a fan of his music and his movies for years and to hear him speak so highly of his mother shows what kind of person he is . Congrats well deserved Oscar

I was waiting for him to say " it's morbin time"

What a beautiful moment between himself, his mother and his brother. A room with thousands of people, and millions of people watching at home, yet it was so intimate and special.

This is one of the best and most humble speeches ever. Well-done Leto!

I can't believe Paul Allen has a better Oscar than mine...

Oi, now I know where he gets his looks from.... His mother is STUNNING 😍.

Wow, as sorry as I was for Fassbender not to win this one, Jared Leto's speech was so moving. You could feel the tension in the room, everybody listened!! Marvelous to bring so much hope and courage to one speech, no matter whether he spoke about the work in the Hollywood industry, his personal destiny or the situation people around the world struggle with at these times! First speech of the night and best speech!! Congratulations Mr. Leto!
