I want to see Jared succeed in Detroit. I think they are putting pieces around him that he can be successful with. The backfield is nice, the WR is nice, TOP tier O Line. I just hope the improvements I'm seeing aren't all for naught.

Picked up season tickets...i believe..lets fing GO!! Once Jared wins 8 games it's over, this town will fall in love. Some people see a Cali Kid who is chill, I see a man who was kicked in the balls, run over by a truck and he got right back up with a smile and class. I hope Jared remembers that shit every game he plays. This is how I know Jared is a true Detroiter, anyone who gets smacked down and gets right back up is a winner!!! and deserves respect!!

Jared's walk off touchdown pass to St. Brown was the most exciting football moment of my life and I am 73 years old and actually watched the 57 Lions. Sheila Ford Hamp was excited also. Everybody was excited. Win or lose I am all in for Jared Goff as my favorite Lion's QB.

Damn. Who woulda thought JG would be HIM and would be our guy. This guy wins a SB, he’s immediately a Detroit sports LEGEND! The fans absolutely LOVE JG and he’s now just our guy. We 100% have this guys back and at this point he has so much credit with us and we trust the hell out of him. I really hope he has a great life with Kristen and I wish him nothing but the best. He’s an amazing dude.

This interview made me like Goff a lot more. Let the kool aid start flowing I’m not setting my expectations to high but I got a good feeling about this team you can tell they like playing for Detroit and are all in to bring a winner here

It’s Awesome you have Jared on your podcast. i was sold on Jared as Our QB after he was traded. So much so between The hire of Brad, Dan and then the trade Jared. I was hoping Stafford would leave and we would get someone good and we did!! i bought season tickets last year for the first time and a 43 year Lions fan. Last game I went to was when they played in the Pontiac Silver Dome. The only home game I missed was the Thanksgiving day game. I was in Section 333 on the visitor side. The Vikings game was the best. if you listen to the tape you can hear me scream like a 10 year old school girl!! This Year I moved to section 103 on the Lions side. I’m looking forward to being at Ford field when they go to the Playoffs!!! GO LIONS ONE PRIDE!!!

I appreciate what Jared is saying. As a Lions fan for 50 years, I think he's a quarterback who's really going to be successful here. I've been a proponent of him. There are a lot of factors that go into the whole success. It takes time. I'm glad he's not so much into the social media thing. That isn't helpful, tells me he's mature and smart. Detroit fans are the best ever, we love you!

Stafford was all in on Detroit and I loved him for it but hearing some of Jared's comments on what it would mean to consistently win in Detroit has me really rooting for him. He's not a rah rah guy like Stafford but I think the passion to win for Detroit and ultimately do what Stafford couldn't do is definitely there. We just need a playoff win from ya Jared!!

@@AdamB34 He himself says he failed to accomplish his goals here. What you're talking about is a Superbowl team. He's had teams that were good enough to win at least one playoff game. The Megatron and Suh days we had a good enough team and pretty respected coaches. They all failed but Stafford is the face of the franchise. Thru all of those gm and coaching changes one thing remained the same, our starting QB, and we continued to loose. Stafford was fun to watch and at times a great QB but let's not act like that rams team wasn't the most stacked it's ever been and is even more stacked this season. To expect an organization to build the way the Rams have is crazy. They've mortgaged the future for now and it's paid off but that could've easily bit them. I like what the lions are doing now with smart picks/trades and 1 year prove it contracts. After all of this loosing the hope for most lions fans has always been to build a consistent playoff team and maybe someday a Superbowl.

Def/Rush: 2009- 32nd/19th 2010- 19th/23rd 2011- 23rd/29th 2012- 27th/22nd 2013- 15th/17th 2014- 3rd/28th 2015- 23rd/32nd They stunk everywhere except the pass game. Sure, that 2014 defense was great but they also had absolutely no run game at all and Stafford still led them to their most wins since 1991. What do you expect a qb to do when his BEST teams were about 25th on defense and 25th in rushing just about every year?

Playing off of Edward Molenda's comment, I am 78 and also watched the 57 lions and even before. I believe that Jared is going to give the Lions an unfair advantage as the talking heads are, in my opinion, clueless as to how good he really is and will perform at an elevated skill level and will catch many unprepared... I am more excited for the Lions than any time since Sanders. Go Lions!

I think Goff is polishing the Lions. He wants them to pick up his option year and the rest of the contract worth $61 million. Maybe 2 years at $61 million is a huge discount compared to what other QBs are getting?

With how amazing Holmes is at drafting how good the coaching is and how weirdly complete this roster is, I don’t see why the lions can’t be a fringe contender for the next decade. Goff is 27, he could literally be the franchise QB for the next ten years, Penei is 21, Aidan is 21, Jameson is 21, those are young super talented foundational pieces with only more drafts to come.

I am sick of people calling Goff a bridge QB and have him out the door. He still has potential to be a very good NFL QB and bring a winning tradition to this franchise. He can easily be the second best Lions QB in the Super Bowl era. Brad, Dan and Ben have all the pieces in place for Goff to have a huge year.
