I love how much their opposite personalities mix so well in this song.

Instead of commenting on Rem, I feel the need to mention that the guy playing ryuus hair is fucking legendary. Like holy shit. That hair.

I honestly like the English version of this better because it feels more like a joke to Ryuk. He makes jokes and plays on words and he seems more teasing. You get the feeling that he really doesn't take this seriously. Here he's just kind of laughing a lot. Although I do like the line 'let's have some fun with them'

Rem's makeup is beautiful and their voices are splendid together. I love the character of Ryuk here as well.

I like how they are basically saying the same thing, just have different thoughts about it.

It brings out such a different mood than the English one in such a beautiful way

Rem is very cute

To me, the vibes are so similar, yet so different than the English version. The lyrics to this one seem more sinister and melancholy, while the English version's lyrics give more of a vibe of toying or playing around with the concepts of little lives that don't matter too much. The Japanese version seems gives more of an angry disappointed parent type tone, or a tone of an evil mastermind wanting to take over the world, while the English version gives more of a bored godly tone, or a power trip vibe, if that makes sense! Even though both could be considered the same

Lets be honest a world in which everything is fleeting and nothing lasts doesnt sound half as bad as a world in which nothing ever happens.

its very interesting to compare the translation of the OG japannesse lyrics with the english version of the lyrics, well its clear that the timing wouldn't work with a straight translation they did get what feels like a lot of the same emotions out of it and so it must of been alot of good work from the song writer who did it
