Thank you for your comment😃 "さかな" can refer to either a dish or a living creature. For example, "would you rather eat meat or fish?" can be said "にく🍖 と さかな🐟 どっちが 食べたいですか？"

Thank you for your comment😃 "Are" is used when talking about something that is a little far away. For example, "あれは ふじさん ですか?(Is that Mt. Fuji?)" "Sore" is close to "It" in English. It is used for things that both parties recognize. For example, "それは マイさんの コーヒーです(That/It is Mai's coffee.)"
