That was a long project for me, lots of rewriting of lyrics and translation. This song was VERY HARD to translate because there were many references that can't really be translated in English, and the usage of writing was unconventional to say the least, so point out any mistakes (I'm not native Japanese). Example include "悪政国", which stands for a tyranny country. I don't know if the word refers to Japan government (which the song also critiques) or "tyrannical" countries

I recommend letters from Iwo Jima, sea without end, oba the last samurai. The Korean movie "My way" is quite action packed (very fun to watch, not much boring dialogue) and has a fairly lengthy section dedicated to life under Imperial Japan and being in IJA

The description is kinda funny since Japan's corporatism was directly contradictory to the US "free market" style capitalism. War reformists got their last wishes through when the occupation government got rid of the land owners and created what we now known as the East Asian model. Ofcourse Koizumi unwinded all that...

this was really a great job! But why do you call it right wing song? It's a patriotic song. And really timeless. Could be written in the 30s and also now. If left or right there is only pro or against the nation in this regard. Make Japan great again!
