I finally got my second box of VStar Universe and have been opening the other one. I do have terrible luck with the pulls though. Shiny Treasures drop at some stores I follow and might get two now. Great video again! 🔥🔥🔥

I like the points you’ve made here. I personally see these “drops” as the market correcting itself. These drops are a great opportunity for buying in at a good time and as you said to diversify your portfolio. I’ve found with this investing game is that it’s more important to buy in smart. Japanese will always do well in the long term, Pokémon has proved since the 90s that it isn’t going anywhere. when the opportunity comes when they drop is always exciting! With a Japanese recession making the product more available and a cheaper price, go grab it!Would love to hear your take on this. Keep up the good work!

One point I forgot to mention in my previous comment is that although it is unfortunate for the japanese people that they are experiencing a recession but one can certainly capitalise on other people misfortune. As terrible as it sounds. If the west has proven anything recently is that recessions don't tend to affect the collectibles market. Where others drop, collectibles either stays level or rises. Covid was a good example of that.

All of those special sets will do very very well long term. Ultra gx, shining legends, shiny treasures, vstar, climax, star v, best of xy, gx all stars, pokekyun even. I prefer single packs. Less risky when it comes to selling and buying. Also it being easier to sell a single pack than a box when these boxes reach silly prices.

@@David-ue7vv regular sets yes that’s why I don’t buy regular sets. High class / special sets though are guaranteed hits as far as I’m aware and can’t be weighed? Other than god packs but noones buying a single pack expecting that.

That's awesome! Honestly, there are so many great sets. And there are card shops all over. I'm personally a huge fan of high class booster boxes. If you can find some great deals, particularly on some older boxes, that's what I'd be looking for. But as someone who loves singles for collecting, you'll be spoiled for choice! I hope you have an awesome time!

Japanese Sealed Market will be fine the TCG would be more problematic. This is actually the perfect time to buy sealed Pokemon Japanese Booster Box because i'm sure the price will go up again lol and also I love collecting Sealed Products just like you have in the background keep it up!

Dude, for sure. Collect what you love! Any slabs or master sets I see are purely part of my personal collection. I don't invest in singles, but there are lots of people who do and many cards do well over time.

The main issue with shiny treasures is going to be it's been printed to an insane level compared to other special sets like Vstar- 151 all the way guys

Totally agree Rob. VStar universe is one hell of a set with so many great facets to it which makes it stand out from the rest. It was somewhat over printed but long term the only way is up. P.S. Loving the videos!

I’m actually not worried about the Japanese Market as far as singles & sealed go, especially for high class sets. And quite frankly as a buyer, this is a time i like to call “down time” where things are low and thats an opportunity for me as a collector to buy. On the contrary as i am also a seller, when you get these sets by the case, and as you watch the market slow down, it can be alarming. But no need to fret and quiver, EVERY set (JP or EN) fluctuate and drops after release. You nailed this when you said “Get in at a good entry point.” If you can handle the FOMO on release day & just wait a week or two after release, it should pay off smoothly. Thank you Rob for the great content man ❤

@martinfraedrich3944 I see. I guess I could have put "boxes return to MSRP" but honestly it wouldn't have been as compelling a thumbnail. And it's been a while since we've been able to get them at those prices consistently. The new normal becomes the old normal maybe. Ultimately, I think no longer seeing boxes like Clay Burst up at $200 is a great thing for collectors and those who like to invest. Thanks for watching And taking the time to comment.
