Hi! lovers rock in Japan has existed since the late 70s one of the first songs is Teresa Noda - Tropical love is a jewel with Ryuichi Sakamoto and willie lindo and the current bassist the skatalites

@@JapaneseRudeSounds Hi There!! I have long felt that the U.K Lovers Rock lost its way after 1982 or so but the tunes you have got here really captures the golden age of the genre between 1972-1981. Can you please give me any information as to where I can purchase the vinyls you were playing, as I cant find them anywhere even on Discogs.com where I still buy my Lovers Rock classics. I remember Plastic Love. So many versions. My fave clip of this song on KZread uses a gif of The Jeffersons dancing. To the best of my knowledge, most of cast members are dead so I picture them dancing in heaven😇. Keep doing what you do👌🏾.
