That is so beautiful!!! It's amazing that you started 6 years ago. Your amazing. I just ordered me some new knitting needles. I figured I will hide my crochet hooks and force myself to work on my knitting.

That is what I did for a whole year and then I was truly able to not fall back onto my crochet since it was faster. I hope this works for you and you have fun. Try to enjoy the process and I think you will find both enjoyable and there is a time and place for both. So happy you are challenging yourself to learn something new. Hugs!!

I can't remember that ladies name but I used to see her patterns all the time for these awesome crochet cables and I bet you could do that all around me!! Hugs and love always!!

@@KnittingTurnPike I would really love to knit along with you, but I've just got to finish up the projects that I've already got going. I am going to put that sampler on my list of things to do. It's so beautiful and interesting. I'd love the challenge. One problem I have is that I'm not great at reading charts. I learned to knit and crochet by written patterns, so charts are quite foreign to me. But I'm so interested in that sampler, I'm willing to struggle through it to be able to knit those patterns. I also am considering buying the books you showed. I would like to see the wrong side of the sampler to see how it knits up on both sides. The next time you do a video on it, will you please show the wrong side? Thanks in advance.

Oh Gina this scarf is just stunning!! I so wish I knew as much as you about knitting! I truly want to learn, I do have I think 3 sizes/sets of knitting needles but I have so much trouble with a purl stitch! I’m sure I just need a proper teacher?! I think I drop a lot of stitches too, with no idea how to fix!! PRACTICE is what I’d have to do!! You do amazing and beautiful work!! 🧶❤️

Hi Marie, oh you always make me smile. I remember the cat's scarf, sneaky booger hiding that from you. I wish I could have seen him though. I bet he was so cute!! I know you could do this. It really isn't as bad as it looks. It takes me a day of knitting, not even a full day. These rows are short and you just do it stitch by stitch. I know you could do it. But the wrong sides are tricky but not impossible! I appreciate your kind words and always being supportive! You are the best my sweet Chickadee. Hugs and love!

OMG, I am getting hooked on knitting more just by watching you make your scarf. I am working on the Mother of Pearl Shawl. It is just knit/Purl. It had begun to curl, but I am okay with it. I will send you a picture of what it looks like once I get some more rows done.

Hi Shari, you are so sweet. That is a great shawl to start knitting. You can add a couple of garter stitches to the edges that should help some with the curling but the blocking will also help. Stockinette is notorious for that. I am so proud of you for sticking with it and challenging yourself to do something new!!! You are very inspirational and I would be so glad to see your pictures. @@KnittingTurnPike The last day has been crazy. Had to take Ninja to the vet and she had to stay overnight. She got an abscess on her neck that they had to lance. I just got her home.

He didn't get it because he has stage 4 kidney disease so either way it was a gamble for him. I got the Moderna and it's protected me. He ok though, he is just dealing with the nausea piece right now, so it didn't hit him as bad as it could have. He had sinus and ear ache and a fever but those symptoms are gone. My kids have it too but they out of the woods now. My 7 year old had 102.6 fever and nasty cough but it broke last night.

One day ill do it i just need to refresh on all my basic knitting 1st but your scarf is beautiful 💖💖💖

Miss Gina, you make knitting lace look so easy. You are beyond modest by saying anyone can make the Japanese lace scarf. As always you know the perfect color and type of yarn to use. The gradient flow of the yarn is beautiful. (Is gradient the correct term?) Love with much respect for your talent! Claudia :)

Thank you so much Claudia! 😊 You are so sweet. I do believe that. It does take some practice but for this you just go stitch by stitch and follow the instructions. This yarn isn't a gradient. Gradient yarns are those yarns that have a flow of several colors in that one skein. This is a tonal yarn with some different shades in it but it is a stunning yarn. I so agree with you that this color is just perfection. I had used this yarn before on another project and knew it had great stitch definition. I knew that Japanese lace is also very textured so that is how I picked this one but sometimes I make mistakes as well. It's not always easy! Thank you again my sweet friend. HI Tammy, that is just Chiagoo Red lace knitting needles. I like those as the cables are awesome and the needles are nice and pointy, joins are great. You can find on Amazon and in a lot of yarn stores. Thanks for asking and I hope you are having a nice evening!!
