Japanese Indie Folk playlist for another day inside

Remember to check out the artists' channels and sns accounts to keep up with their activities and new releases. Also seek out their Spotify profiles, especially if there's a particular artist you liked in the video, as I usually limit myself to including 2-3 songs by an artist and there might be more of their songs that I really like but ultimately skip for the video. So yea check out their pages, go to their channels, comment on their videos, all that good stuff. Links below.

Sometimes I feel like the fact that I don't understand the songs actually adds more to the experience. Just having a glimpse of the artists' world and communicating solely through music and the vocal harmonies they create. It's like making friends with an infant/toddler who can barely walk/speak. Or a dog you just happen to pass by on the street. I don't know if that analogy works. But I think it's beautiful and special. I've been thinking of uploading some of my favorite western indie as well. Might take a while though. Hope you stick around for it!

What a bad way to start a November, redeployed from the position I had a passion in now I'm basically starting from scratch. I didn't have any solid friends, never talked much on the floor in the first place but I enjoyed what I did. Now, I'm just trying to find myself in the world again. Sad thing is there's this girl at work that I really admired and liked, saddest part was in the morning before I learn about the bad news. She looked at me, smiled, waved and said "Good Morning, John!", I smiled back and waved a good morning as well. I thought to myself. Gosh, I'm so lucky. Little did I know that day my world is about to fall apart. I hope I get through this. I really hope.

i remember listening to this playlist when it first came out, back when covid started. my birthday was a little less than a month after this was posted, and i listened to it while me and my mom and brother spontaneously decided to go to the beach. it was cold and stupidly overcrowded for mid-may during a global pandemic, but everytime i hear these songs or listen to this playlist, i remember fond memories of going to the beach with my mom and brother, and playing animal crossing to get through quarantine. I remember staying up late in discord calls and playing this playlist with music bots, and my friends recognizing it and saying, "wait, ive heard this before!!" it's immensely nostalgic and hearing this again feels like a breath of fresh air. thank you for this playlist :) it has brought me many great memories and continues to make me feel calm and content, despite the stressful times it was released in.

I was listening to the song 'aluminum' and I couldn't put my finger on it, but there was something raw and simplistic about it. It made me think of when I was a kid in the 1990s.Then I realized -- there is virtually no auto tune in it other than basic arrangement. It's so refreshing to hear a real, honest, flawed, wonderful human voice in a world of bland, perfect machines. We need that back in music. We have such great musicians these days who are so trapped by the expectations of perfection and their reliance on digital enhancement that they too are afraid to show real, imperfect creativity anymore. The world needs honesty in it's art again.

Only discovering this playlist now in my Watch Later, and wow. I love the vibe of this olaylist so much. I can imagine going on a solo trip with just your bike and a sketch pad and some water, and you stop from time to time to draw the things you've seen along the way while listening to this. This playlist also reminds me of my childhood, when I would come home from school and I can just stare out the window all afternoon to watch the pretty pink clouds.

Ichiko Aoba has a mysterious and sweet voice simultaneously. It soothes my ears...her presence, her voice, her songs...wish she could stay by my side and sing all the time. Also credit to the musicians and folksong composers...what a different kind of universe you've put me into... ❤️

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. Or they are alone, they miss someone, they are depressed, hurt, marked by the past, they have people that nobody knows, they have secrets that you would not believe. They want, they dream and they hope. And now, you're sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you won't feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed by the past, don't worry about the future and focus on today. If today is not so good, don't worry! Tomorrow is another opportunity. If you're reading this, please share it to share and make others feel better. Have a nice day!
