Some simple rules of pronunciation for Japanese words if anyone's interested: A's are always pronounced as 'ah' like 'father' and not 'aye', I's are pronounced as 'ee', O's are pronounced as 'oh', E's pronounced as 'eh' and U's pronounced as 'oo'

So, mount komorebi would be, koh-moh-reh-bee

Of course, the combination of vowels will make different sounds, like 'ai' would be 'eye'

U's can sometimes be silent as well

@@shelby4061 They do get pronounced but really shortly. Like with ikimasu (going), tabemasu (eating) and nomimasu (drinking).
I used to live in japan and I was prepared to feel a little disappointed by this build, but I almost cried it made me so happy to see a modern Japanese family home that reminded me of the ones I used to walk by in my old neighborhood. I definitely need this expansion now. Also, my apartment had the bath in the toilet room. Although it’s common to separate them (especially in a big home like this), you see both and the country countertops were perfect. Thank you.

PS. If you ever do references for community lots, I would love to see an attempt at creating something inspired by the T Site (cafe/bookstore) in Daikanyama or 21_21 Design Sight (museum) in this world.
I love that you always pull off this style! I don't see many other people building in this style so I'm happy you still do it
I love this so much. The "sun room" where the tea pot is, is my favorite room in this building. I was also thinking that in the snowy part of the world it would be so cool if you built a skiing center with a ski/snowboard rental shop and restaurants/shops maybe an onsen too. Have seen such places in the alps where you can go and rent snowboards and skis.
Woah. I legit was missing your japanese builds then saw this when I opened the app 😳 Simlicy you mind reader. The build was amazing as always! ♥️
I love your style of building! I'm currently doing the Not So Berry Challenge, and I was wondering if you would ever consider doing any builds based on the challenge?

I think she built a house for the mint generation a little while ago and I believe it’s still on the gallery!
this house gives off such lovely and peaceful vibes!
I love the idea of the households being connected!
Yes! connect this family with the Grandma you created!! that would work perfectly.
Your building process is so unique!! I love it
Yay, another Mt Komerabi build :] I really need this pack so I can make Japanese-inspired builds and download your lots.
Ahhh this is so pretty!! 😍🙌🏼 thank you for another amazing build Dawn ♥️
I love this build!!! I'm so excited to see save file builds too! When I've thought about this family I always thought that Jenna really struggles here- she doesn't speak the language, the locals all know about her husbands history with his high school sweetheart, she dresses so differently ect. Loved hearing your thoughts on then!
I really wish they’d updated the other tea sets we have in game to be functional too. Snowy Escape came with a Japanese tea pots on a few items as decorations but I would’ve loved it if they made that, the basegame, cottage living, tiny living and also the Moroccan ones functional
I absolutely love all of your builds. They look amazing outside and inside. I love your imagination and how you decorate everything, its so inspiring and makes me want to build. Keep with the amazing work ❤😊
that looks amazing! I love your Mt. Komorebi builds, they always inspire me
You're one of my many comfort youtubers.❤
Also Dawn, there is a good chance you've watched an anime without realizing, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z are very popular in the west and have english versions
ahh i love this !!! so pretty
Love this so much, I love your Mt Komorebi builds! One of my faves of yours is your 20x15 Grandma's House build for this world
I really enjoy this build. The landscaping is awesome! I am someone who struggles with landscaping in general, especially with this style. This has inspired me to attempt this style again. I enjoy Snowy Escape, but I tend to avoid building in this world.
i love this style of build! Would love to see more of a 2 sim houses!!
You always make my day, love ethis build ❤
I really really really like this one 😩 think I'm gonna gave to download and use right away!! 👏👏
Beautiful build 😍😍
4-16/22 this is the reason i have so many households. u give me ideas to start a new fam. the one i currently have i hope lasts a while
I married Taku and we are currently living in Tartosa. We now have two kids, Tommen and Margaery, I think it’s time to go back to Mt. Komerebi and buy this house. Wonderful!

the game of thrones reference!! 🫶🏻
You are so very talented with clutter. Your choices and placement with clutter doesn't "clutter" your space but rather makes it look realistic. This is why you're probably my favorite builder :)

Forgot to mention ... I love the music you tie to your screen shots.
Good job! Full realistic!👌👌
Finally, another Japanese family house from you and its on the same lot I built my sento on WHY lol.
I just love this 😍
Ya the sims team really does need to make a little bridge that you can use. It would make such a difference to what we could do for the yards.
i know you dont usuay make pack restricted builds but i would looove to see you try to build an apartment building for city living using only that pack and base game - as amazing as the apartments are theyre so big! id love to see your style of building in a build like that! (:
where is the link for this build? SUCH A CUTE AND WARM BUILD
Love the mt komerabi houses you do! Always so good, happy Saturday also are you going to upload the recent apartment you did to the gallery? 💗
Beautiful build! *Would love to see a Let's Play with these families in this story line.*
17:53 That room type (if on the correct side of a house) is called a sun room. Used for relaxation etc.
The wooden archway you've put on the gate it's actually called torii gate. I love the design you gave to the gate making it like that, but keep in mind that torii gates are usually located at the entrance of a temple, shrine, tomb or any sacred ground. It symbolizes the border between the mortal realm to the divine realm and sometimes devoted people walk around them instead of under them because it is belived that that's a passage only spirits should be allowed to cross. Anyways love your builds and creations, I always enjoy your videos, keep up the good work ✨
i love your mt.komorebi builds
Love it 💕
Wonderful house
Love it 😀 😍 ❤
this is such a beautiful house
Lovely build! You should watch Studio Ghibli movies, I'm sure you would like them!
build with items you barley use. good content!
will she ever build something i don't like? god i love this so much😭
please do more of these!!
I find it hilarious how I just did a build last night where I was fooling with the tool mod trying to get the snowboard to “prop” up against the wall. And I could not get it to work. And you mention something about it in this video. I ended up making a couple boards “wall mounted” but it was such a pain.
To answer your question about the master bedroom… If the parents sleep there, *it’s the master bedroom.* Really nice build btw!
I really want to see an horror house, like the the counjuring one!
Kotatsu tables would’ve been more suited with the tatami mats and hardwood floors with bigger furnitures since tatami mats could get damaged with heavier furnitures but it’s a game I let people enjoy things but yeah
Beautiful construction! Just one tip normally, in Japanese all the letters are pronounced separately. So kaito would be pronounced more like kah - e -toe!
If you want to start watching anime, I'd recommend Demon Slayer/Kimetsu No Yaiba. The houses in the anime are very alike to this one (the outside, at least). It's about a 13-year-old boy - Tanjiro Kamado - who's was family was murdered, except for his sister - Nezuko - who has turned into a demon. It's a really good anime, but it has a bit of blood and gore. It's still really good, though!
And yes, master bedroom is just the largest in the house, majority of houses where I live don't have ensuites
I would love to see an apartment, maybe one you don’t renovate as often dedicated to the new Harluxe CC pack for someone or a family who has just moved from Sulani!
Oh, wow this is beautiful! Where's the download link??
I believe its just called a master bedroom if there is no attached bathroom…to be a master suite, it needs the bathroom😉 Dawn, your builds are so breathtaking, always inspiring, and make me want to power up my computer to play Sims all day😁 Alas, I need to start some seeds for my garden today so I really shouldn’t even be watching this video😂 Love your content🥰 Have a lovely day!
You make me really want to download sims 4. I had it on my ps4 but then my storage corrupted and my console died. But I think it would be better to have it on my computer
cool
Are you raising platform in the void spaces? And if so, is that to avoid dust bunnies?
I want to build this to.
can u do like black n white japanese traditional style mansion for some big family?
are you using some reshade? if u do, could u please tell me the name of it?
Hi I want to ask what kind of device do you use to play the game because I use my MacBook but it doesn't work well
There is no download link WHERE IS THIS I need this plzzzz
I'm curious what anime you used for research and inspiration. When I build in Mt. Komorebi, I always go back to "My Neighbor Totoro" because so much of the movie is about their house.
