The reason why you were able to move in relatively quickly compared to other foreigners, is money. These prices are higher than what most people in Japan even earn.

We lived in the middle of the CBD with multiple rooms/carpark so it's quite normal. We were actually paying the lowest in our building until they decided to increase the rent.

Ouch, $3,200 a month, I would shed a tear every time I have to write a check for that every month, and if the apartment is not furnished, it would hurt even more.

Yeah this doesn’t make any sense if you can afford 5000 dollars a month for an apartment you might as well get a house you’re married for one and a better investment would be a home. But if you can afford it I guess.

Apartment 4 looks the most spacious i like having space hate small rooms. And i like having large windows and high ceilings too. Also prefer a closed kitchen more than an open up kitchen. And a decent size balcony and privacy and quite too. Renting so expensive. Which one did you get in the end? Apartment 1 is nice too.

The apartments were quite large so I agree! Also if you are living with multiple people, you'll be splitting the rent and not paying it by yourself. Eric and I have always split the rent 50/50 even after we got married so we can both at least still have some savings after rent is taken out of our pay checks.
