I have watched Japan play tons of times but this highlight was the first time I was like wow. Japan's defense was INCREDIBLE unbelievable man. I was flabbergasted. They did really well here! Always nice to see 2019 Nishida as well.

For two reasons. This federation hates Brazil, it has always done this to show few points. In addition, the headquarters of the World Cup was Japan. See the third set, Brazil was perfect, Brazil was 16 and Japan only 5 points. They showed no point of Brazil during this sequence of points.

Highlights have nothing to do with a teams results lol. It's pretty simple. Multiple rallies of unorthodox plays > text book plays. It really has nothing to do with your ignorant fatansy, so save your hate speech xD Like other sports, F1 for example, driver of the day goes to the more exciting performance, usually someone who starts way behind. Not the winner, because their race although first place, was frankly boring. It's not that deep ;)

What a match from Japan, that team have a huge potential. But Brazil is just too much, their expirience, skills and physical condition get the job done. However good job Japan, respect from Poland for both teams ! Piece of good volleyball :)

That brazil libero was fantastic..

Japan is a country to be feared in Volleyball!!! And they have proven it in this competition. Brazil, undefeated, almost lost two sets for Japan. So many good defenses for both sides, so many highlights, powerful spikes... Nishida for me was the MVP of this match. But props to Alan, Ishikawa, Bruno, Onodera... Everyone was great!! I'm Brazilian, but seeing how Japan played was astonishing! I found myself cheering for both teams!! I really hope that Japan gets a medal in 2020. You guys deserve it!!! Great games!!!

Nishida was played like a real monster, couldn’t keep an eye off him. His moves, jump height and everything was just awesome. Can’t wait for the 2020 olympics it’s gonna be fire

Dude that dump attack by Bruno on 1:12 was really mental destroying. I know that Japan players think "We're going to stop them this time!" when Nishida was able to cover the ball and Japan successfully sent back the ball, but Bruno immediately shattered those images in their Blockers and Receivers by dumping that ball in their faces! What a timing to use that attack!

that first set was FIERCE, they played it like a deuce in a fifth set. brilliant play all around. japan has amazing defense and quick reactions as usual, but Brazil's firepower is just insane, bruno especially being a delight to watch
