I hate small talk, so self-scan is a blessing 😂 here where I live now everyone loves to have small-talks, but where I’m from we don’t do that😅 it’s hard to get used to, even after 6+ years!

I don't mind the small talk even tho I'm not particularly keen, but what I do mind is people touching my stuff especially during the pandemic and the cashier touches everybody's stuff so germs galore. 🤢 I've even had cashiers cough in their hand and continue scanning my stuff without even wiping their hand 🤬 Also can pack everything directly into my own bags/trolley which saves time and effort. 👌 I never want to go to a cashier again, love the self scanner and self-checkout.

We have thse self scan systems in most supermarkets now. But sometimes if the scan cannot read the barcode, as it's crickled, too shiny or something like that, it can be annoying. But it is handy that you can see how much you have to pay before getting to the register. When I saw your tomato and mozzarella side dish I though that would be good also with some nama ham and perhaps some bread. I often make simple salades with a soup or something like that in the summer. The weather here after almost 5 weeks no rain at all, started to drizzle today and we are supposed to get a couple of rain showers this week. My garden really can use that.

We have some stores in US that you can scan as you go if you want to, but you download an app to your phone and scan with your own phone. There is not a separate device supplied by the store. Sometimes it is helpful, like when there are long lines, but it can become a pain if you are purchasing a lot of items! You made 2 of my favorite foods- cream of mushroom soup and mozzarella and tomato salad😊Wonderful video as always. See you next time! God Bless 🥰

We have a scan and go system in some of our supermarkets in the United States, and it is nice for when the store is packed with people shopping and you don't want to wait in line. We also have self check outs, which are also nice, as the lines for these registers are generally short. Do you have self check outs in Japan?

Hiya my lovely friend Linna. Thankyou for this video, it has become one of my favourites. Your lovely days out with your boys and that dinner you cooked O.M.G. I felt I was eating it as well. Truly beautiful and tasty. Hope you OK Linna glad I can speak to you again I don't know what happened to my last comments. I was telling (Gary) my husband find them find them they took me ages to write. He tried to look and asked me the most stupid question." Ars you sure you wrote them". I burst out laughing and called him many names. Lol lol. We have had months of fantastic weather in LIVERPOOL, no rain at all. Heard today though that there is to be a water ban after weekend. Water is so important when we don't have it. My husband said to me "let me see who you are writing to", so I let him look at your video. He said " wow she seems like a good cook , ask her could she give you some lessons" and started laughing. Cheeky thing. He always tells me to take lessons.lol lol. Anyway Linna we shall speak soon my friend. Fantastic video.❤🎉😊

My gf's daughter is visiting Japan right now...this is her 7th day, I believe & she is having such a wonderful experience...she will remember this trip for the rest of her life...this is a trip that they have had planned for a year now, ever since they graduated...this was their gift. She is sending her Mom & I pictures from all the places she's visiting & pictures of the meals she is enjoying...it all looks so good too! 😊 It is very frustrating whenever we have to change the way we do things...I understand what you are going through!! So sorry, gf!! The worst part about this system is that people will lose their employment. A lot of places, stores & fast food places, especially, are going to this system now...that way, they don't have to hire anyone...it's cheap and it's not a good idea...just wait until the system breaks down and people stop shopping in these places that are using this system now!!

How often do you go grocery shopping? Do you also order groceries for delivery? What else do you do apart from what we see in videos? Do you have any hobbies you haven't shared? I presume you do the housework but do you sometimes wedge out in front of a screen? Do the boys entertain themselves or do they require a lot of attention at home? I've got enough questions for a Q&A 😅 Of course you're not obligated to answer. I'm just curious 😅

hopefully those scanning tablet things won’t be coming here anytime soon - my “job” when I go into a store is to shop not to act as cashier as well - at my local grocery store - two check out lines with cashiers were replaced with six self check out stations - thing is - over a year later - the cashiers are still working to help people use these stations - soooo - why not just have cashiers work the way they used to - ugh - I’ll do my job let them do their job and we’ll all be happier and get in and out faster and happier 🙏🇨🇦 good to see you have two readers - I’d let them read - they’ll find other times to talk with you - that they choose to read is precious - enjoy the quiet times the three of you have over your after school tea 🙏🇨🇦

True indeed 👍 but at the end the workers will be “fade out” after we all being taught how to do it ourself. Saving their cost 💲 I spent lots of time reading for them when they were small. I am so glad they like reading which is important for men💛

I'm happier when other people don't unnecessarily touch my stuff and spread their germs, and self scanning is much faster and more convenient since I can pack everything directly in my own bag and trolley. We have the self scanner and self checkout in most stores that I go to and I never want to go to a cashier again.

That self scanning thing would be fun for about a minute and then I would get so annoyed 😮‍💨 I can see why you got frustrated!

That’s not a very nice thing to say you are fed up and getting tired of scan how do you think the shop workers feel doing this for 8+ hours a day while you just cook and clean at home

@@Rebornagain101You must be trolling. People are allowed to say they dislike things or not enjoy something. That is normal life, we like and dislike things, and it would be a scary world if we censor every non-positive opinion. Like, I can say I hate cooking even though there are chefs who "have to do it for 8+ hours a day" or whatever. And yes, like the other person said, they get paid for it, I don't. I'm not responsible for other people's career or life choices and neither is Linna. Seriously. 🙄 I like scanning my own stuff myself (the less people touching my stuff the better), but other people don't have to. We all have different preferences and that is ok.
