Japan's Hinterkaifeck: The Blue Blanket Butcher

Ойын-сауық

A series of loud knocks pounded on the door at approximately 5 am on February 11, 1906. 30-year-old Kaga Murakichi was not expecting visitors; not only was the light, morning snowfall escalating into a heavier blizzard, it was National Foundation Day, a holiday celebrating the founding of the country. Kaga owned a shipping supply store in the port town of Mikuni, which was located along the Kuzuryū River in Japan's Fukui Prefecture.
He was with a few employees when the door slid open and an unusual visitor entered.
