The Grand Rapids Abandoned Diner: An Internet Mystery
Ойын-сауық
Tuesday, August 20th, 2019. In the earliest hours of the morning, a user on 4Chan’s /X/ board made an interesting post.
It was once a thriving, cozy little business named Isaac’s Restaurant, but it closed down shortly after the owner passed away. The OP claimed that the unusual phenomena started in 2015.

One note - the "Wyoming" referred to at 8:08 is more likely to be Wyoming MI, a major suburb on the south side Grand Rapids, not the US state. Good content!

The Wyoming Incident 😱
“Hmm we need a company name… I got it! How about we leave a huge hint towards the extremely illegal activity we’re doing?” Why tf would human traffickers be leaving breadcrumbs just think for half a second

The guy associated with the place has lot to do with the medical field /security according to his Linkdn his name is Ray Tabaczka
Posting a real address in a major city on /x/ of all places and making all this sht up is literally insane to me. Even if op was baiting they still made a more interesting thread than 99% of other posters.
Sooooo I live in Grand Rapids, been here all my life, in this neighborhood.... walking distance from that place.... I can't remember Isaac's last name That restaurant was owned by old man Isaac... but he had a son, also named Isaac who was actually a spoiled rich kid who had been selling weed/ripping kids off in the neighborhood over a summer, and he ended up shooting and killing a very close childhood friend named Kenny, and when he was charged, his family spent a truckload of money on his defense attorney, saying that Kenny was trying to rob him, and that's why he shot him. Issac Jr. was found not guilty, but the combination of this situation, the 2008 financial crisis, and the "cloud of speculation" from the neighborhood really sealed it for this place... Long story short, that chicken is 🔥 and the Kool-aid is perfect!
I used to live in this neighborhood in the early 2000s. I remember walking past this diner.
As a Grand Rapids resident I'm happy that some people are looking into the creepy shit around here lol

This address can currently be google searched as an ethnic Chicken restaurant. I read through WAY too much of the archived threads on this place to find this out
So you're saying there's a small building in Grand Rapids that someone on 4chan took pictures of?
People intend to open businesses all the time that never go anywhere because they run out of capital. This is a bit creepy, but if anyone _was_ in there, it's possible they were squatters or just stupid kids who broke in to do some shit, then beat a retreat when they realized they might get caught.
glad i found this video- pretty interesting, keep it up!
This channel is insanely underrated.
About 00:03:52 - the change of angle produced different shadows. It's entirely plausible the "leg" is something immobile inside, which, when viewed from a different angle would obscure the shadow's existence. The light on the floor changes from photo #1 to photo #2, which is why I suggest this.
Hi, just wanted to let you know that this video was wonderfully made, nothing less than an excellent mystery video , your heavily pushed back by the algorithm
Great video, love the edits. Keep pushing out quality content. Alogorithm brought me here💪
7:51 the guys name is Ray Tabaczka
really well edited!
Clicked bc I was born and raised in GR, stayed for the great editing and narration! I lived half a dozen blocks away for a brief period as a kid in 2005ish… This area is really homey and full of families but very working class (it’s no Ada, Michigan lmao). I 100% believe this was squatters or kids messing around at night IF “this” was anything… I know crimes can happen anywhere, but this seems like a weird choice for a massive criminal campaign lmao
Yo, you earned my sub. What high quality content, especially for a new channel!
I saw the title and was like “oh it’s probably Rosie’s Diner isn’t it?” Fun fact, my grandpa has a light up sign from that restaurant that he’s had for years
Great video, wish I could watch more :)
This was really interesting just subbed!
Awesome content
good video man
8:14 by Wyoming i believe they mean the city of Wyoming, Michigan, not the state

Yes, you are correct! Another person pointed it out too. It definitely tricked me
I wanted to thank you for the content! Your voice narration is on point and editing style is coming along. I hope you build some momentum and grow, especially because some of your videos are criminally underwatched. Fuckin' love me some /x/ stories and lesser known paranormal events
Why would someone running an illegal business make a pun referencing the crime they're committing. That sounds absurdly dumb for them to do that, but I will admit kinda funny in a weird way.

I agree, it’s like something out of a B movie 😂
This is an AI created video guys. Listen closely.

Nah, I used varispeed stretching to slow down my voiceover bc I thought it was too fast. It created a few distortions that others pointed out too so not gonna do that in my vids going forward.
Anything that comes from 4chan can safely, and automatically, be assumed to be fake, especially if it originates from the /x/ board. A bored 4channer was walking by an old, abandoned diner and decided to pull a creepy story out of his ass. It's really that simple. Still, I like how you investigated the purchase and ownership history of the building. I like thorough investigative stuff like that. You earned a subscriber!

For a large portion of content on there, sure. But you’re forgetting there’s NUMEROUS instances of real posts containing really morbid/fucked up shit. Like that dude who had a body in his freezer, or the dude who tried to flush a grenade down the toilet (which exploded and killed him). I don’t remember if the former was confirmed, but the latter was confirmed to be true.

Yeah, I instantly felt like the guy writing the post didn't try to make it subtle or seem in any way real, Black SUVs "Full of Kids" like really? Literally everyone would notice that if it was real that's the most blatantly obvious shit ever

@NoobOfShame or the few posts where people have claimed to murder someone and it ended being true, like the one post where he says he killed a woman and her son will come home from school soon and call police

Yeah anything true posted on 4chan nowadays gets deleted by jannies. Didn’t used to be like that but definitely is now

Not really. There are numerous documented cases of crazy posts like this involving murder & other things that turned out to be 100% legit. You sound like someone who eats crayons for breakfast.
Well i love mysteries and i love diners
Funny lmaooo, rip issac
I'm glad this video was suggested to me. I really like content like this. My one small suggestion would be to use less processing on your voice. It ends up sounding echo'y or robotic, and I don't like AI narration.
Humanicks lol. If it isn't a film company, the person that bought this building has WAY too much time & money on their hands. On a serious note though, I nearly clicked straight off this video when you started the mystery off with a 4Chan post. I'd recommend definitely not drawing attention to that in future if you want to keep people baited for long enough to watch an ad -- but beyond that, I'll give it a like, just because it's pretty well made.

Why is KZread programming their bots to denigrate 4chan when we all know it’s a free platform and KZread are basically known Neo fascists when it comes to reply banning
i'm you're 200th sub, what do i get? lol jk
1:22 makes me feel siddenly sick fwiw idk why well idk if I wanna know.. but., fwiw yeah idk the suspect of what is occurred there feels.., undesirable.
What a waste of 11 minutes and 22 seconds
2/10 no gooning break in the video
shorten your intro from 10 seconds to 3/4 seconds. it's annoying and repetitive as it is atm, makes me want to check out.
