Unfortunately, nowadays the world volleyball tendancy has changed. Only good defense can not make japanese team world champion. They are too short and not powerful enough. So still a second level team.

now sakoda and saorin is retire , the only thing they have is defense. koga,nagaoka,ishii and shinabe are not that good spiker.
