I Really disliked the perfect child as well, I felt like too many adults failed in this book and things didn't make sense to me. The two adult characters should have acted smarter in the book given their educated backgrounds. I mean she literally admitted to Christopher that she likes hurting people. Also the reveal of the mothers phone in the end threw me off, not sure they explained why it took them over a year to bring it up. Coupled with the graphic animal abuse left a bad taste in my mouth
