Last year I asked my 4 grown grandchildren if they wanted a quilt. All 4 were happy to have another quilt that Grandma made!💕

Two of my young adult grandsons came for dinner over the holiday’s. We had a wonderful visit and before they left they asked if I had any quilts I was done with or would like to pass along to them. I had one for each that I was thrilled to pass along.🥰

When I first heard about Featherweight machines, I looked into them and decided they are too rich for my blood. I discovered the Singer 301s and purchased a nice 301A off Ebay. I am grateful for your journey with The Duchess because finding Jen's How-To videos has given me the confidence to tear into this machine and get it up to snuff. If I had gotten this machine before my husband died, he would have taken care of this chore immediately! He was a great mechanic. It didn't matter if it was construction equipment, lawn mowers or sewing machines. When the weather warms up, I will clear a place on the garage work bench and go to town! Wishing us all a fantastic 2024.

Afternoon, Pat Sloan! Great visiting with you this afternoon; everything seems to be humming along smoothly in the Sloan Zone. If it would do any good, I would pitch a tantrum, scream, throw things & make a royal arss of myself😮 We have now been displaced since 12/8 & it isn't fun! It's nerve-wracking! But things will work out in His own good time & according to His plan!! My sewing space wasn't touch by the fire or water with minimal smoke damage. Be so glad when I can get my hands on my sewing machine. Fabric is another issue😢 Bless everyone & have a GREAT NEW YEAR!!!

Love the changing of the quilts! It was inspiring! One day when my house is completed I'm hoping to decorate with my quilts. I know I won't have "800" 😘 quilts to choose from because I don't run a quilting business, but I hope to have special pieces for each season to bring out and enjoy. I have two featherweight. I have not had either of them refurbished or painted. They were both in excellent working condition when I got them. I use them both! They are my class machines when I travel for classes, sewing clinics, or retreats. Love the Nordic snowflake! I have wanted one in red and white for years! I think it's time!

We had a wonderful Christmas and a few days afterwards. Our children and grandchildren came to visit. We ended up getting sick….oh my gosh, not sure what this is but, it’s awful. Happy 2024. What a way to start a new year!!! ☹️☹️☹️

I enjoy watching your videos' everyday. Because of bad health and grief over the passing of my husband , I have not been able to make many quilts in the last 2 years. You are inspiring me to get back to it. In November and December I sorted my fabric and got my sewing room cleaned. It was interesting to hear what you eat for good luck on New Years day. Here in the South IGeorgia) we eat blackeyed peas and collard greens on that day for good luck.

I love your blue and white theme! I have two featherweights. One is from 1938 and is named after my aunt Fran...Arabella Francis (her model number starts with AF). The second one is from 1950 and is named after my maternal grandmother and two maternal aunts, Amy JennLo (model number starts with AJ). I am wanting just one more, a 222 model made in September of 1954, so it would be the same age as me!

I love snowmen so I am working on a new ensemble of snowmen, including a tablecloth and coordinates

Loved the tour of your home! I got excited when i saw your entertainment center because I have the same one - only I took the insides out and had shelves put in so I can use it as my kitchen pantry. My daughter did the work on it for me. She actually found the unit at a thrift store! We also found another unit at the thrift store that I use for quilt storage. Love your you tube videos. Thank you for sharing.

I don’t have a feather weight however I inherited my sisters sewing machine she bought new in the early 1980s. Needs a little work but it sews beautifully.

I have 2 featherweights. One is pristine black and the other iswhite, but it looks more like a very light green.I love them both; the black in once of the first to come off the assembly line.😮

I am using a planner for the first time this year. A combination of 2 from different places to try to get myself more organised and to get more sewing done. I am going to try to do some sewing or sewing related work each day & keep a record. I made 2 of the Birdsong Panel quilts, pink & blue, using your panels & fat quarter bundles of the Birdsong fabric. I gifted them to my daughter-in-law's nieces. They loved them.

I’ve tried the pretty planners and it seems I work best with a big calendar book that lays flat and shows one month all at a go. I’m not doing a temperature chart cross stitch but through my local library we’re doing a cross stitch book shelf. Every time we finish a book we stitch it on the shelves! I have a Featherweight but it hasn’t been out of its case in years. Loved your blue & white quilt tour. I made a blue & white Oh My Stars for my mom for Christmas.

Happy New Year, Pat. I bought a quilt planner to start my second year of quilting. It is a planner by Sherri McConnell. I want to keep my quilting plans, my goals, thoughts and inspiration in a planner form. I have found how quickly one's fabric and pattern inventory control can get out of hand without a planning and organizing system. My goodness, my library of Accuquilt dies has expanded in just the three months I have owned my Go Big cutter. I love all of your quilts. I, especially love the mitten tablerunner. Living in the "Mitten" state of Michigan, that tablerunner design would be perfect for my winter kitchen decor. Thank you for sharing your home.

I bought the extension table for my featherweight and I love it. My featherweight is black and the extension table is also.

Be aware of where your Featherweight electrical cords are when sewing. They can get against the belt and it will rub a whole in the wire coverings.

Love the change over to the blue and white. They make a room, home feel peaceful after the excitement or business of the past month or two. Time to relax and regroup. Enjoy the New Year and wishing much happiness to all the quilters/viewers out there.

I was just working on my planner too. Trying to make sure I don’t over schedule myself.

I loved seeing all the blue and white quilts and would love to make another winter quilt this year but I have 12 projects on my to be done or completed list so it may have to wait until 2025. I also just started another year of no sugar so will really miss the Starbucks most of all. Happy New Year.

I spent the first day of the year 2024 folding and organizing fabric and tools in my sewing room ... I enjoyed it so much! Worked on my lists (IKYKY)... and cut some leader/ender pieces. It was a glorious day... Oh, I also (almost) finished my January wall hanging to replace the Christmas tree one we did!!! Yay

I will be making 13 Mrs. Santa Clause wall hangings to go with the 13 father Xmas brings I gave away this season . So much work, I have to start early to have time to do anything for myself for Xmas. Fantastic tour of your Blue quilts :) I am hoping to work on smaller wall sizes so I have more to use during seasonal changes. It is beautiful to see the color changes you have going on :) Yes.... the Featherweight shop... got my 221 in October... after a few orders with them to get me started I then fell into their Christmas Specials!! It wasn't until after that you announced being an affiliate :( Am sure I haven't gotten all I need (want? lol) so will be sure to order with your links next time. Their tutorials are great. Finding lots of great info you make available.... and just located the "Jester Snowman Quilt" pattern you showed us. Now I have another project to make! Happy New Year!

Loved your quilt tour this morning!!! Gorgeous blue and white quilts! I will be using a planner this year to track my quilting and cross stitch projects. Also to track my gifts list for family and friends. My husband and I are planning to do more entertaining this year. So I will be keeping track of all my menus and guest lists each month. 😊

I have a Featherweight from the 1940's that I inherited from my aunt. It is the machine that I learned to sew on as a teenager. I made most of my clothes with it. I used it for many years.

I love when you take us on a tour of your home after changing the quilts. Love the blue, especially the Jester Snowmen! Finally decided to do a blue Oh My Stars quilt for January. Last year, I kept track of the temperatures to make a quilt. It will be easier since I know how much fabric I need. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy New Year!

Love the Blue quilts tour. I have made a couple of them: the 4-block one at bottom of the stairs, and the big Blue one hanging in your sewing room; with the cat silhouette block, was fun and lovely to make; I had also done one of the BOW's quilt in blue, which I love. I do hang a few of mine, but my wall space is limited. I love the log cabin blue quilt on the table in front of window, it is lovely, I like the wider strips used for the cabin design; the colours are lovely. You have also inspired me to learn & make a cross-stitch pattern to hang on wall; but first I have to find out where to learn to do cross-stitch. Do you know of any good places to learn cross-stitch? Thanks for sharing your blue quilts, they are lovely.

I love the Featherweight Shop and the accessories for my Lucy (I Love Lucy😊). The needle seam guide is helpful and I use on all of my machines. We live 3-hours from Brandy, her podcasts are awesome. Happy New Year Pat and your shipping team !

I have three Featherweights, 1936, 1950, and day, 1952. My 1952 is the best one, because it’s my husband’s birth year and he’s the best thing. The second best is the 1936, she’s beautiful with a scroll 28:15 plate and she runs like a dream. I try to sew with the San antonio Featherweight Group the first Saturday of the month. I like all the accessories you’re getting for your sewing machine, because they are very helpful. My best purchases from the Featherweight Shop were the seam guide, scant quarter inch, and the thread guide. Also, I got the soft bag and it makes easy carrying my machine. I also have a very stinky case, so that’s why I bought the soft case and it sure lightens my weight for travel. I’d like to see you sew on screen on your featherweight machine, maybe small project.
