One thing I've learned, ppl who prepare for interviews and anticipate questions, have a tendency to lie cos they're prepared. But ppl who are asked a question which they did not prepare for, they tend to speak the truth. So Starver, there is no turning back. You exposed yourself.

Human rights lawyers do not misspeak on issues of human rights. Especially one that is a King’s Counsel Barrister. Their job is to put weight on the words that they speak. He meant what he said at the time. It does not mean he means it now or the day after but he definitely meant it then. It may well be that his position on the subject was one that was reached by coercion or bribery or in order to bring about support from a certain faction of society. There are many reasons why he said what he did at the time but he most certainly said it and he most certainly meant it.
