Jeremy Corbyn is a ‘distraction’ to the Labour Party

“Being a solo member … with no other colleagues, with no other party to try and enact change, will not be able to bring about change.”
Jeremy Corbyn is a “distraction” from the Labour Party by running as an independent candidate, says Alexander Gardiner from the Win Islington North group.

The most distracting thing about any election is not Jeremy Corbyn. It’s how our politicians suddenly go to their wardrobes get out their high viz jackets dust off their hard hats and start visiting factories and building sites for photo opportunities Thats what distracts us.

Selective high profile visits only at that! Ones aimed at hooking key areas. Weak point for Socialists, the West Country. I wonder now if all those Landowners/Farmers who have lost valuable subsidies, still value the Right. High price to pay for snobbery, but then I guess they get Tax Exemptions/absolving 🤔

I really disagree. Many people within the UK are looking seriously at independent candidates to break with the traditional parties working for their own agendas and the individuals that finance their parties. Traditionally labour worked for the people but clearly now it’s a second conservative party Like myself, many formal labour supporters would rather spoil their ballot papers and vote for labour So I think it’s important to vote to send a message and vote tactically when it comes to independent members of Parliament .

@@adamalexander5181 Based on 40+ years of retaining his seat in Islington North. With Gaza remaining at the top of the news agenda, his anti-war stance is more relevant and popular than ever. Unfortunately there's not much difference between Sunak and Starmer when it comes to foreign policy (copy the USA), so it's vital that there are a few remaining anti-war voices to the left of Starmer. Don't forget he was almost PM in 2017 whilst standing up for what he believed in, so has been a far more successful politician than most in Westminster.

This is such good news for Labour. Corbyn as an independent candidate, if Labour fringe grounds support him, they'll be turfed out, or they have to fall in line. No issue with Corbyn personally, he seems decent. Whether he wins or not seems irrelevant. Very good news for Labour.
