I remember the days when I first started my tree company, I had a 6*10 dump trailer with this like orange dk2 6in chipper. Those were the times. I miss them sometimes as they were peaceful

i know these machines say they can chip up to 4 inch diameter but what would you say is the largest diameter branches you can feed into this thing comfortably without jamming it

It looks like it'd take about 10x that but sounds like it's suffering for torque

Where did you get it? I thought they only made them with up to 14 hp engines…. Is it an older one or something?

@@marcshields3677 I got a engine from Harbor Freight, I had to modify the tensioning and belt size for the new engine. Now the engine is bolted to the frame, and tension is controlled with a tensioner pully and spring. Next time I have it out I will make a video on it. I still have the new 13hp engine for a project lol.

What is this thing like for towing, is it stable? It kinda looks like it'd be a bad combination going around a corner and over a pothole, like it would tip over.

This model is for off road use only but they do have another model built for towing on road. That being said, towing it around with a 4 wheeler or tractor works great!

@@cameronmundell7190 Just be careful friend. I've had a glove get hooked and caught while feeding a big vermeer chipper and it was a scary feeling but I pushed the bar to neutral then reverse. The thing is when your close enough to reach the safety bar your not to far from getting chopped to pieces. A chipper is unforgiving and must be respected. Everything happens fast.

Agreed. I’m unsure why this model doesn’t have a bar. Thankfully I’ve never needed one.
