It's actually really dark humour. Janice is Jewish.

I like how Janice was still part of the show, starting from season 1 till the end. Unlike other dates of the friends.

Supposedly there actually was a Monica/Chandler spinoff in development at some point but it got shot down

I love how Janice appeared in every single season, aside from the sixth, where her voice is heard on Chandler's mixtape, and she appears in clip show footage.
