@Kecia's Tour Life, thank you for your upload...this brings back so many memories...I baby sat Janet & Randy for a friend ... they were petrified...poor kids...I was not surprised when she went professional... I dont believe in chance..I believe in the movement of God in ones life.. and...as He would have it later through a move of God, I was offered a position at Motown, where, because I minded my business & worked...I got to know most of the Motown family, who embraced me as friend & invited me into literally...their families... I worked in radio first at age 16, at a station in LA, called KGFJ...though I left Motown...and went back into radio, hired on air KGFJ/KUTE, a few of us remained friends...I found the Jacksons homes, to be warm & welcoming...and was blessed by the lovingkindness of their mother Katherine. I got a call when Janet's brother Michael, first arrived at UCLA...the day is burned into my mind, I can not imagine their pain...the death of a love one is a lifelong pain & seeing as though the kids were on the road, Katherine missed many years with her babies... I know she's working, but I appreciate Ms. Jackson, so much more, sticking it out...because I know it's a bitter sweet thing, she's been through so much. God bless her heart...thank you again for upload...brings back the sweet days...the beginning days before everyone got swept into the whirlwind...we know by the name of the "Music BUSINESS"

You're very welcome! LOVE your memories, thank you for sharing! So many people have these extreme expectations of entertainers, and at times forget they, too are HUMAN. 🧡

This is a wonderful recollection! You should self-publish a memoir to help share the history PURELY from the point of view of of what it was like to be a young woman working in music in the old days. These are the oral histories and experiences that we need to save for future generations, to know history in the first person and gift them and future generations with the truth and beauty of what life was like, how far we've come, and what they can reach for. Thank you for sharing! 💐

@@ellasabe6377 so appreciate your kind response. I've been asked by several, during my lifetime, to write a book, however, if I had the time or mind to, it would be more along helping people to see the Lord's hand in their lives & how he cares so much about us that He swings doors wide open when we honor others & love others during our time here. Ms. Sabe, to my dismay, I ignored God, not once within a 5 minute period, but literally told Him NO, when He asked me to speak with Michael, (we were both escaping all of the rest of the crowd at a gathering and ended up a few feet from one another separated by a sliding glass door, I was in the Master Bedroom of the home, he had escaped to the pool area)...that day still haunts me. What I can say is this...the conversation I was to initiate with Michael, back in the early 80's (before Thriller, he had left Motown for Epic, I left went back to radio)...so our paths had not crossed for years...not making excuses for my "dissing" God...but...I felt he was getting so air...so I wanted to leave him to "his peace"...but ma'am...looking back...my entire family agrees...had I been obedient to the Lord, perhaps...with a 95% surety, Michael may not have died & the world would most certainly never have been the same. I say what I say to my deepest regrets and pain in my heart, that still cuts...I loved these people & I most certainly LOVE GOD.. but I feel making money off of my life/God story...wouldn't be right. But I do wish to leave you with this...Jesus does love you, I hope you know Him...and if not...open your heart & mind to Who & What He claimed to be & do... promise you won't regret it 🙂

Janet is THE BLUEPRINT, and the bridge between the standard of classic showbiz excellence, and what modern performers should be aspiring to for their craft. Still, with stage clothes, here's the thing for me: coming from a background of academic studies in dance, I'm absolutely fine with leotards and bodysuits: they are standard stage attire and have been since Vaudeville, and are designed to see body movement and keep you from overheating under the pressure of stage lights. For me, it boils down to WHAT you are doing in the stage costume: are you DANCING, or are just just humping the floor like something in heat? Because I know i for one would be happy to never see another modern stage performance with folks dropping down and spread eagle ever again: to me that's not dancing, that's a mating call. These youngins would do well to watch Janet and learn how to "convey" skill, technique, and feminine sensuality in one with just the proper movement of an arm or gentle sway of hips. No humping the floor needed to prove anything to anyone, LOL.
