SD Divya Ghoshal is a first-year medical student on the KCU-KC campus. She earned her undergraduate degree in cellular biology and MPH at the University of Georgia. During her gap years, she worked on projects related to border infectious disease surveillance with the CDC’s Division of Global Migration and Quarantine. During her free time, she enjoys dancing and reading.
SD Vikita Patel is in her second year of medical school on the Kansas City Campus at KCU. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2021 with her Master of Public Health degree which led her to an internship with the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization in alcohol and substance use policies. This tied together her previous interests in opioid and substance use research and community work. Vikita has a passion for population health, and as a future physician, she hopes to help reduce systemic inequities in health care through policy and advocacy work.
