What a fantastic Jamuary my friends.
I don't even know where to start.
First of all, I would like to welcome all new subscribers to this channel. Sit down and grab a muffin or a cookie. Enjoy more than 600 pieces of music and jams, mixes and live performances. Everything is free for you here.
Secondly, I would like to thank all the listeners who diligently wrote in the comments and pressed the like button this time. You know, you're not doing this for me but for the KZread algorithm. Above all, you help YT to understand which other interested parties could be made aware of this channel. So here’s a big thank you from me.
Thirdly, I would like to thank everyone who always listens to my music diligently but doesn't comment, I know that you exist and you are very important to me.
Now let's get to the numbers:
Through Jamuary I was able to double the number of views in January (!!!) and triple the hours listened to (!!!).
This is an incredible achievement, dear community, and I am speechless.
Everything beautiful always has a shadow. I thought for a long time whether I should tell you the news now or wait, but I think you have a right to know what happens next.
This #Jamuary was the last #jamuary for me! I made this decision from the bottom of my heart.
There is a really important reason why I made this decision:
- I advocate jamming and making music when you feel like it and not when you are forced to.
- My community is being forced to listen to this music even though they don't want to, just to do me a favor
The conclusion from this is: The quality of my music and my health suffer and that is exactly the opposite of what I want to achieve.
Of course it remains the #Synthember because this is my own challenge and I set the rules myself. And beyond that, I will of course continue to make music and upload it to this channel, but if I want to.
I know you understand that and that's why you're the best community in the world.
Nevertheless, I'm feeling a bit melancholy today and that's why I decided to record another slightly melancholic pure volca jam on the last day. I hope you like him.
As always, I look forward to your comments, feedback, criticism, your experiences with a similar setup, your questions and so on.

What is this #Jamuary everyone is talking about?
When I started jamming in 2017, I had no idea how much this type of composition would accompany me in the years to come. Today 6 years later I have become part of a strong and family community that includes all kinds of people. I am always amazed at how friendly and courteous everyone is with each other and how objective and constructive the discussions are. I would like to thank you for that.
Of course, this community also includes great artists. Artists who not only created music but also launched great projects in the form of challenges.
One of these projects is the annual #Jamuary launched by @truecuckoo. The goal is to jam every day in January. Of course you can also share your creations with the community. It's a big challenge to find time for music every day.
This year I'm taking part for the 5th time and I hope I can do it.

Most of the Time I am using the Specular Reverb v3 for my jams.
Sometimes the NTS-1 with the Cathedral Preset or just the iPad.

Great work
Beautiful sounds in this jam! The keys has a tone that sings directly to me, and the other volcas complete the scene. It’s a pleasure for the ears and mind. I only did Jamuary one time, in 2021, and it was inspiring but also exhausting. It’s hard for me to record more than once a week, so I don’t plan to try it again. I hope the more relaxed pace will benefit you. I’ve enjoyed the Jamuary music!

Hi, that's perfectly fine it's a lot of self imposed pressure to work under when you're inspired it's easy other day's it takes work. Life is always changing as artist, musician, person and if when and how you create music changes that's ok. Onward and forward to new musical adventures 😊

I totally respect your decision not to do any more jamuarys. I can imagine how difficult it is to jam for 30 days straight, I just finished a 365 day drawing challenge and haven’t touched a pencil since 😊. Create when you are inspired and recharge your creativity when you’re not inspired. Inspiration always comes in waves and it is always best to go with the flow. Looking forward to new music when you feel like creating any 👍

and may your February jams be the mighty culmination of everything you have experienced and learned in months before, inspiring you, and all your fans, to March forward into the Electronic Spring.
Thank you for putting in all the effort. I get not always wanting to make music constantly. Some days i pick up a guitar, or synth, and know that it's just not my day for it. I really enjoy watching you jam live, and it helped pull me out of a down time. 👍
As a long-time listener back to when my only units were a po-33 and volca keys, i have to say i am totally fine with waiting until you're inspired to actually do something. Don't force it..i try that often when i get home from work and i end up feeling worse and not having created anything i truly wanted to.. Just forcing myself to make another lackluster patch or sequence that may never get used. I'm trying to wait and listen for when it's really time to express.

Yeah. . that's absolutely right.. so I am slowing down s bit now in Feb.
Thanks for the jams! I totally understand the toll it can have on one's life to produce a video everyday; it can be a lot less fun. That's why i didn't do #jamuary this year. Might do some videos on #synthember , knowing that it's you might motivate me to film some jams! I read the description. I totally get it. I love the concept but unfortunately it just takes the fun out of it for me. Music needs to connect to your feelings, being forced just means you're trying to make a connection that might not be there in that moment. I recorded no jams last year after jamuary and am only now starting to rekindled the shorter jam format. I did find out that I love long form free flowing jams. Anyways... do what you love. side note: my Pro VS mini rocked up!
