Lyrics:
Can you dig it? There's something in the air tonight
Got a one way ticket, baby don't you wanna ride?
Got to make it, make it to the other side
I've got demons snapping at my heels tonight
I just want to run away, turn me loose
Got people around running me down, I can't stay
I just want to get away, I just want to get away now
Get them off my back today
Can you feel it? I'm stuck inside in a hurricane
Chasing rainbows, can't you see I'm going insane?
I wanna be a free man but I'm spinning on this crazy wheel
I'm jumping for the high bar, can't you dig it?
No longer know what I feel, can't you see?
I just want to run away, turn me loose
Got people around running me down, I can't stay
I just want to get away, I just want to get away now
Get them off my back today
I just wanna run away
Turn me loose, turn me loose
Turn me loose, turn me loose

Am always so proud of seeing the Japanese enjoy western culture soo much (usually best live concerts from western artists are from tokyo) It gives me a great feeling of a Oneworld feeling. And respect to all Japanese people for opening their hearts to a completely different culture and embracing it!
When I first saw him on MTV at 10, I thought he got the coolest moves in the world. 20 years have passed since then, but I still haven't seen anyone move freely like Jay Kay. Jamiroquai's music will still be trendy and sexy even if listening to it on space in the future. No, it will be the BEST when listening in space.

Once i was tired of all fake friends i had. So i went to run outside, listening to this song, and while i was running i saw a newspaper with an article about a event 2days later. This song is simply beautiful, Jay Kay, superb. the melody, the timbre of his voice, the text "translated "with an offbeat humour in this clip, but withbut also bitterness. I really like the passage (2:25) where the music reinforces the intensity of Jay Kay's dark gaze, and his words, isolated from our world by his astronaut outfit with this furious desire to flee. It really means what he wants to say, and all is said.
2:25 Bro this part is insane. Bring my tears.
I don't know if I love the music video more or the song. Everything about Runaway is just class, its so good.
@francemary1863

totally ok with you. Everything is so well said with the text, the image and the music. I particularly like the almost melancholic musical passage ( 2:26 ) , with Jay Kay's dark look in his astronaut suit isolating him from our world. The furious desire to escape

Always listened to Rock and Metal for fifteen years , now I discovered Jamiroquai and they're my favourites! Love them :) so funky :D
the bass really sets the groove in songs and this proves it heavily.
Paul Turner's bass line is so cool. Great percussive sound from the bass too. It's good to hear good old school funky deep bass and not bass that sounds like a banjo with all the highs and popping and slapping. That's got its place but there's so much flashy playing as opposed to pocket playing there. Now get off of my lawn! LOL
When i was teenager i didn't get this music but it seemed to me funky and groovy. Now im fan of nu-disco. There is refer to the past that influenced to my Conscience and future. Thanks to great musician Jay Kay. He is amazing. His music is always in our hearts.
