I spent over a decade trying to locate this song. My buddy put it on my iPod shuffle (that I sold for drugs) back in like 2007. I was withdrawing from heroin the first time I heard it. It was love at first listen. Grateful to be 3 years clean on 9/11

2024! Were starting to get old now, but what an absolute banger this is. Missing all the tunes from late 90s through the Noughties.
So, the poem read near the beginning is called "The Cockney Amorist," by John Betjeman. It's about the difficulty of continuing to love life once the one you love is no longer in your life. Just thought that might enlighten some.
Way too much nostalgia comes with listening to this. Forever a great tune.

@@allie54774 Same lol. I remember being in 5th year, like 15/16 and Jamie came to play a show in Belfast. We had an exam the next day but all of us got drunk and went to see it. I completely shanked that exam but it was worth it. Such a great night.

Being out in Leeds on Saturday and seeing his name in lights outside the academy lead me to this song again. Brings back class memories. Hes still out there, we just need to look!

This was my first Jamie T song from years back. Still one of my favourites. I am encouraging my grandchildren to enjoy his music although their American ears have trouble with the accent in this one. Even my accent amuses them at times.
