I’m 70 years old and the first time I watched this video I thought it was an old country-western song from the late 1950s. However, the second time I concentrated on the words and holy smoke! I laughed until I cried! It is excellent musicianship, great parody of an old musical genre and also has amazing lyrics! Great job Lily and group!

I am not native speaker and I was quite young when this song came out so I did not understand the lyrics at that time, But I am fluent speaker now and, oh boy, I missed a lot of clues (in a lot of other songs from 2000’ too) :D. I went trought to her older songs once more and I realized that she is really funny and clever with her lyrics. I like her even more. (She was my favourite singer at my teen years)

Never too late, never too late. English is my third language, but I certainly remember this song from my childhood. Slightly embarrassing to only understand the lyrics years later on, particularly because the song was so iconic at the time that we used to sing it contiously in public as kids. I have no idea why no parents ever told us about the meaning of the lyrics, oof.

I am 63 yrs old, and just stumbled across Lily Allen - again!! I had a casette tape in the car of a mix of her songs, and my daughters used to complain cos I just played it over and over and over, alternating with Carly Simon, James Taylor, Paul Simon and Pet Shop Boys! Oh, and Fleetwood Mac. My children now still know all the words to all these songs years later. I am going to have a Lily Allen binge. I love her music still.😊

It depends... When I was 29 I had a girlfriend who just wanted sex all the time, and when we did it, I could last for 2 hours. She then would be so exhausted that sometimes I would go to sleep without 'finishing'. I had been an alcoholic because girls would always reject me.
