I hope you enjoy this performance I filmed at the King’s Theatre in Edinburgh in July. Covid restrictions eased sufficiently for us to have access to one of Scotland’s most famous and historic venues, one that Sir Harry Lauder appeared in.
I was due to perform Lauder down the road in Portobello to mark Scotland’s first Global Star on August 4th , his 150th birthday. The pandemic stopped that but it couldn’t stop us marking his big day in some other way. A huge effort from my friends and colleagues have brought this to you now. To Donate follow link above. Thank you and guid nicht!

Growing up I knew a man named Jock Cameron. He was born in 1890. Every year on New Years Eve he ended the nicht by singing "Wee Dunkin' Doris". He considered New Years Day to be his birthday. He lived to be 100 on his counting but in truth it 99 and 7 months. He loved Sir Harry and I am sure that he saw him perform live as he grew up in Scotland. He, and his son Allen are the ones that introduced me to Sir Harry's music. I have known of Sir Harry since 1969 when I was 7. I wish more people knew more about him today. Thank you once again for sharing this performance as I imagine that this is likely something akin to what Jock Cameron would have been privy to. A sincere thank you.

"Keep right on to the end of the Road", 100 years later still applicable to this day. Thanks for the memory.

Absolutely wonderful to keep the memory of Sir Harry alive!! I truly thank you for this perfect performance!!! Growing up, one of my parents friends father was still alive. His name was Jock Cameron. He was born in 1900. He got to see Sir Harry in live performances. Every night that Jock was at our house he always sang "Wee Donkin Dorus" (sp?") and I have loved and learned about Sir Harry Lauder for the rest of my life. I am about 35% Scots on my maternal grandmothers side. She was a Christie. I am proud of my Scottish heritage. Thank you again for this performance!!! Blessings upon you.

I hope there is a continuation and perhaps a second play. This was so perfectly written, acted and the musical choices of Sir Harry's works perfectly chosen. Thank you again. Foe this wonderful entertainment tonight. Perhaps we should start a gofundme for another production?

As a one-time friend and business acquaintance of Jimmy Logan from the late sixties, I shall ceratinly tune-in to his Lauder. Jimmy like his hero before lived to entertain; unlike Lauder his love and repect for others was sadly not aways returned; in his latter years Angela restored his faith as Gina had many years before. Iain Brown.

I got to know him towards the end of his life when he revived lauder at Pitlochry. We met a few times after that. He's approached me to start a Scottish tenor group. sadly he never lived to see that happen. What I was able to tell him was I was 10 when I saw him at the King's in Glasgow play lauder. That was the start of my own connection with the Prince of Scottish comedians. I hope Jimmy is looking down on this stream tonight.
