I knew that Walter Hawkins was a true man of God when I saw the tv show "Unsung" where late secular singer Sylvester's family and friends talked about him joining the Love Center church and Walter Hawkins welcomed him in with open arms. Walter Hawkins even made his own positive statement about Sylvester's time there. I know BishopHawkins went to heaven. I'd rather have a pastor who wore earrings and and preach the word of God than a pastor like I had as a young woman who tried to rape me in his office okay. And a pastors whose girlfriend set up in the balcony directly opposite the first lady. Please earrings if he lives his life right life right earrings? I could keep the earrings. It's about how a pastor LIVES the WORD , not what he wears.

I understand what you’re saying-the superficial thing like an earring is brought up but the evil dirty things are kept hidden! I heard once about a preacher who had his wife in the pulpit with him but his girlfriend sat front row directly across from him and allegedly wore no underwear!

@@evadiva3085 i can top all that, there was a pastor that had a wife & a boyfriend & because you can sing or preach they sit up under such foolishness, excited about the gift, and blinded on their lifestyle. We have to pray for our ministers & the people of God in general, we're better together & i hope Pastor Hawkins allow God to continue to use him & surround him with the right people in his ministry

Its a difference of loving people and obeying the word of GOD. GOD tells us how too live and how to obey his word GOD tells us to come from among the world and be ye seperate says the lord.

Serving GOD is serving people.

I wouldn't be concern about the earrings or wear, when God does a change in your life, he will rectify the situation, we are all sinners, saved by the grace of God, when we confess our faults and repent, let us focus on God.

Bishop Hawkins accepted everyone in his church with open arms and loved them just as GOD loves them but I’m not so sure about a change coming over them like Tramaine sings about. It’s ok to love and accept people for who they are but change must happen because the word says so. Accepting GOD is not enough. You have got to seek his face and turn from your wicked ways. I’m not sure if that message was preached.

Does anyone know Tramaine Hawkins divorced Walter Hawkins for something deeper than wearing earrings...She kept it quiet and still sang with him, kept his name professionally, but was married to another bishop for many years before he even got sick.We are all sinners saved by grace.But the earrings are not surprising.

Wearing earrings? What are you implying? Sometimes married people separate for a number of reasons. Clearly they loved and cherished one another deeply and that to me has always been beautiful!

Tramaine never said anything negative about Walter. One video the tribute to Tramaine he did for Tramaine the emotion Bishop Hawkins showed true feelings . May have been divorced they still sung and traveled together . So two classy people
