Because let’s be fair, he’s not the actor most people will think of Jamie Foxx when asked who their most favorite actor is…because most people only think of the answer when they’re asked, they first have to think of the answer and you don’t always hear people run to Jamie Foxx’s name!

Yeah, the guy can act, sing, play piano, do standup, & is a master impressionist, we won’t see anybody like Jaime for a long time to come if ever

Jamie Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles is the greatest acting job that I've ever seen. I thought that I was actually watching Ray Charles. The fact that Foxx can really play the piano made a great difference in the film.

It really was. Some say that biopic roles are more mimicry than acting, but Jamie went far beyond impersonation to inhabiting Ray Charles' changes in persona throughout his life.

Don’t usually like watching interviews like this, but this dude and his editor are killing it, insightful questions, knowledge of the topic, relevant footage, doesn’t interrupt the guest, makes you realize how low effort most of these types of interviews are compared to this, just wanted to say keep up the good work guys.

His Quincy Jones impression legitimately filled me with terror with it's frightening level of accuracy. Impressions are all about mimicking the nuances of your subject, he did it in a manner that can only be described as masterful.

I absolutely dig how when Dreamgirls was brought up, a focus was put on Beyonce but Jamie gave her props but then refocused on the star of that film, Jennifer Hudson. Cause she showed up and showed OUT! Very nice.

I always get crap when I say this, if Jen and fantasia looked like bey, they would be Aretha and Tina status. No shot against Beyonce, but she don't have that church voice. She do got the complexion for selection tho.

Great actor. Off screen he’s this funny, upbeat personality, the kind of guy you’d want to befriend in high school, but you wouldn’t think about having acting skills. Yet, put him in front of a camera and he nails it. Complete understanding of character psychology.

Give this man his own late nite talk show. Jamie is a national treasure

Excellent interviewing and editing. My favorite part about these interviews is the mix of movie scenes and visual references that are synced with the conversation - it’s genius. And talking to Jaime about his previous movies then working up to the newest one was really insightful. Best type of interviews ever, right here on BBC.

Foxx is just insanely talented. For some reason, maybe because he can do so many things, he hasn't really found the right vehicle for making the most of his capabilities. He's not the biggest star in the world, but he probably should be.

yeah I think I know what you mean. he seems to have an eccentric on-the-spot creativity that would have spawned Jim Carrey esque free rein roles, but his back catalogue seems to be more that of a classic actor. great career though. seems a really funny guy as well

Always said and can never be said enough. This is interviewer is peak class with the way he conducts these sit downs. You can tell how much the guests enjoy themselves.

Killed it on TV. Put out an album. Killed that. Did stand up. Killed that too. A hell of a lot of great movies. Killed ever single one. Great dad. Great guest/interviewee. Most of all, goes out of his way to help a lot of young artists

Jamie is just plain likable! And underrated. This reminds me, someone once said that serious comics made for great actors, Jamie certainly fits the bill in my humble opinion.

I feel ashamed of myself, I forgot what may be his greatest movie. Definitely one of the top three at least. Manhunter - 1986 You’ve seen this film, haven’t you-my man?

The fact, that people say " I hated that character you played " is to me, the sign of a great actor!

So are we just going to forget he played Electro in The Amazing Spiderman 2 and absolutely killed it 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This man pulled out more in almost 13 minutes than folks in 30 minute interview. Impressive.

I swear to God I thought Al made a guest appearance in the interview and it was actually Jamie doing an impression. That's scary good!

Just watched this interview with Ali Plumb. Immediately subscribed. Being present with a monster talent like Jamie Foxx, and hitting that sweet spot of being himself and not getting in the way, but really adding to the discussion in such a laid back fashion is so unusual and it's very much appreciated. Just so good! Also, I find it hard to believe that, along with being an incredible actor, and a funny as hell comedian, Jamie's ability to not only sound like someone he's imitating but to be able to capture their super subtle little mannerisms that capture and defines the person really leaves me wondering how one person can have so damn much talent. What a gift he is.
