Watching Jamie Foxx's Movies That Made Me in full on BBC iPlayer in the UK here: bbc.in/2RPTv3Z
Jamie Foxx talks to BBC Radio 1's film critic Ali Plumb about his extraordinary career. From Any Given Sunday, Collateral and his Oscar-winning performance in Ray, to Dreamgirls, Baby Driver and Django Unchained, plus his latest movie Just Mercy opposite the not unattractive Michael B Jordan.
He reveals the advice Oprah Winfrey gave him, his dressing down at the hands of Quentin Tarantino and what it was like going up against Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls.

Jamie is so wonderfully and freakishly talented in so many ways, acting, music, comedy, impressions, etc - and then you add the cherry on top that he always seems so nice and down to earth. I really hope you are recovering from whatever it is that ails you, Jamie. The world would be a much poorer place without you in it. Prayers and light to you. 🙏❤‍🩹

Really refreshing! 💜 As for Jammie - no one is more multi-talented than this guy - amazing actor, great at impressions, singing and playing a piano. Over and above that he is one the best story tellers of our time. It don't get better than Jammie. 🌻

Just watched this interview with Ali Plumb. Immediately subscribed. Being present with a monster talent like Jamie Foxx, and hitting that sweet spot of being himself and not getting in the way, but really adding to the discussion in such a laid back fashion is so unusual and it's very much appreciated. Just so good! Also, I find it hard to believe that, along with being an incredible actor, and a funny as hell comedian, Jamie's ability to not only sound like someone he's imitating but to be able to capture their super subtle little mannerisms that capture and defines the person really leaves me wondering how one person can have so damn much talent. What a gift he is.
