This was done because the producers and fans loved what Duncan lacroix did with the character so he couldn’t be kept around for longer Diana and the writers felt that they had given him the best send off they could and I agree .

    It seems a little weird to me that in the books, unlike in the show, after Brianna comes to the 18th century she doesn't have such a distant relationship with Jamie (maybe I just imagined that) she kinda loves him with all of her heart and she doesn't act so much like a stranger. I just don't feel this father-daughter bond and love when I watch the show

    I feel it actually makes more sense. I mean, yeah he is her bio father, but he is much literally a stranger to her. Is normal that she would not be like "oh my father, i love you so much dad" right away, anyone would need time to see someone they just met as their father.

  • @victoriaivanova5293

    @@nessyness5447 well, yeah, typically no one would run into some stranger's arms shouting "I love you dad who I never knew". • @nessyness5447

    @@victoriaivanova5293 yeah, i get it, but i mean that i find the slower pace of the novel more believable. I mean, imagine you were to find out that your father is not your bio one and then you met the bio one , but he is a stranger and for you, your dad, is the one who raised you ( bree and frank were super close too). Is difficult to get used to the idea that this person is your father too and to start caring about them as such. I imagine she would not want to let go of dad frank's memory and some part of her mayne felt like she was betraying him by calling jaimie father too. It's a difficult thing and they aslo clash in ideas and beliefs. So it makes sense it would take them longer to connect.

Also, Claire's reflex to mechanically open her arms and drop what she was holding to welcome her daughter in her arms... this type of detail cannot be written. This must come instinctively from the actors and actresses and from the director who shouts: “Cut! That was perfect!'' while crying...

    You need to understand that time stopped, when he took Claire to the rocks she went back to her century pregnant while Jamie was already dead 200 years ago. Claire gave birth to her daughter and when she was old enough she decided to go to the rocks and go to the century where her father and her mother would be and time started walking again, that's why she looks older

    Fav scene when the father hug his daughter. After this scene there isn’t any hugs from jamie and bre. Bre looks like didnt have cares to jamie. It seen When jamie sick because snake poisen, her mother and her husband sad about the condition of jamie but bre didnt sad at all, it looks on her face. We agreed that frank is trully father for her, but at least give little cares to jamie. When she want to back to the future, jamie talk to bre, but bre didnt give hug to jamie, very dissapointed as daughter. I hope there is more hug from jamie and bre, so the series is not only about pove and sex, but lover from the father - daughter and vice versa

    Ed SR Sure, but seeing a photo of someone once and seeming them in real life- whilst in your mind this isn’t possible because they’re in another time- is a different thing. I also think it’s why he accepted what she was saying so quickly, because he began to recall the photo and realised they looked alike.

    Seeing a photo and seeing the real thing can be very different. Its a bizarre experience, I myself have seen family members or friends in photos and when you meet them in person later, its like you never seen them before. Its a strange feeling but its defo not a continuity mistake.

  • @millyreha

    @millyreha

    I see how that might be a mistake, but there are a few things to consider with this. 1, imagine being told a loved one is dead, and you already made your peace with it. If they turned out to be in front of you, you would never register that. Also, she was younger in the photos with very different hairstyles and clothing. Lastly, Jaime barely looked at her at first. He said he was married, and didn't pay much attention to her. But once he stares at her for longer, you can see his face change, as if he's trying to see if he recognizes her from somewhere.
