Still always gutted that these songs with Max never made it to Spotify or anything so I could listen to them more regularly, but it's a nice little treat every now and then on YT I guess. Can't believe it's been like 7+ years 😂

Been a deaf Havana fan for a decade and only just found james’s solo work. As another Norfolk boy his music seems to resonate with me even more.

It always sounds like he just gets on with living his life and then almost as an aside belts out the most realistic, perfect songs that you've been really needing to hear.

I just listened to this 6 times on repeat. The lyrics spoke to me. Amazing.

This man... Has way too much talent, goddammit stop making me jealous!

I've loved Deaf Havana from the start. I mean the very start too! And all through their older stuff right the way up to Old Souls and love it even though it was different to the music i fell in love with "Oh Howard, You Crack Me Up" and even before that. And now the band has grown so much, yes i do prefer DH without Ryan but I think he's greatly missed by the older fans. However, I love James Veck-Gilodi more than any musician in the entire world. He is so underrated, as a lead singer and DH as a band on a whole. Why they aren't as huge as Oasis, Muse, Libertines, Foo Fighters, RHCP etc baffles me! Possibly a biased opinion but that's me and my wishful thinking. Keep up the good work James, I imagine in person you're the down-to-earth kinda guy i hope you would be and take the time to listen to your fans reviews and opinions. Because by listening to opinions is how you cater your selves to new audiences and continute to expand as a band. If you follow the timeline from record-to-record the change in the music (i.e. The lyrics, the passion, the soul, the beat and the love and effort) that flows so effortlessly and easily from James is effing beautiful! This man is a hero, because I listen to DH every single day of my life since the day I first fell in love with them. I loves your old stuff, my favourite stuff was FAWL because I am probably responsible for half of your album views/listens alone 😝 i literally cannot function on a daily basis without listening your music. It means so much to me, and i even cried with joy when i saw you @ Rock City, Notts at the Hit The Deck Fest 2012(?) i think it was. Incredible! You are a phenomenal musician, super talented and an effing inspiration to all of your fans and other musicians alike. Please never stop making music, you got me through the hardest times of my life with your lyrics alone. If you ever split up of stop making music James, the music world would have suffered an incredible loss, and i will lose so much faith in music. Keep strong brother, and continue to make the music we all know and love so much. Good luck with the solo project, i'll be there at Notts in January 2015 without fail dude! ❤️

I love you! Sorry bit strog, but you're a fan like me, from the very start with DH and Ryan through the loss of ryan the chamge to fools amd worthless... then the change to Old Souls and now THIS! This was just the best idea! I cry everytime I see them, which is like everytime they come to london. I am obsessed and James and the others are my idols, equally. I get my firt tattoo in 8 months; James's right hand rose but on my right arm not hand. I cant wait to see them in February and I hope they never end. Xx

Coco May such an awesome band! Cool to meet another old school fan haha! Just seen them in my hometown Saturday just gone, they were insane! Gutted James didn't show at the after party though, waited 2 hours to meet him ! :( still a wicked night though, love this band so damn much dude! xx
