My friend drove the bus on the James Taylor Carol King tour. He said James Taylor is the same off stage as he is on stage. He said James Taylor is a kind, gentleman to everyone. He was so proud to have met James Taylor.

Loved North Carolina the 5 years i was there....best state in one of the best countries in the world. Miss it🥺

I live in North Carolina, right at the bottom of the mountains. I'm only 16, but I know, I've always known that I'm never going to leave here. I'm going to raise my kids on the land I was raised on, and let them enjoy North Carolina like I did... like I am. Thank you, James, for letting everyone know that North Carolina is an amazing place.

Lived in NC most of my 55 years...having to move to Florida to take care of my aging parents....I've lived on the coast in Wilmington to the mountains in Asheville....how I will miss my state...it's places and it's people.

This song takes me back to the 1970s. When i was a teenager, a simpler time in my opinion. I truly miss that decade, thank you james.

In the early 90's I was blessed to have been hired on by WKML-FM in Fayetteville NC, the top-rated radio station there. Its format was country, & I worked with the awesome Don Chase & a host of wonderful people. I made countless precious friends who embraced me as one of their own, including the Tuscarora Nation. From Parkton to Roseboro, this song is for all of you. Whenever I hear it, I think fondly of all of you.

North Carolina is the most beautiful state I've ever had the pleasure to spend 25 years in. I know no equal to her. I shall return one day to rest. Thank you for such a beautiful video.

Beautiful song. Grew up in Carolina..no matter where you live, the sky is Carolina blue...Will always have a special place in my heart.

Been living in Southern California for the last 5 years. Hopefully sometime soon I'll be able to return to the Carolinas. Until then, I'll be going there in my mind every day.

This song is the theme song for so many of myself and my friends. Born and raised in North Carolina and having spent many college summers in NC at camp this song is so perfect!

Man this reminds me so much about Carolina even though I've lived here only for 16 years so much has changed over those years It's changing to much i miss the old woody North Carolina.

I'm here because I've been teaching overseas for 4 years. I grew up in S. Carolina. listening to this song on the plane ride home put tears in my eyes. Goin' Carolina in my mind...

My dad also passed away in 2005. I grew up in NC. I left in 1981, and this song always make me homesick.

I'm glad to tell you that this live recording is from Taylor's album "One Man Band" recorded in 2008. This is definitely the greatest version of my favorite song. Actually, the whole concert is wonderful from start to finish, but there is always something special about this song since Carolina means something different to each person.

Living in both Carolinas I never leave heaven and its generous and loving people. We love newcomers, but please don't change our paradise. Keep the big city lights and urban sprawl and let our skies be lit only with the stars and the moon.

I'm Dutch but when I was 5 months old we moved to NC, I lived there for 4 years and it may seem strange, but it was the happiest time of my life. I miss it. NC in my mind.

i never lived in carolina but i pass through it every year its beautiful i live in virginia i dont care for it very much. my heart is in TN.the mountains is where my soul is. this song and september grass just fills me with good memories of long peaceful road trips, laughs, and relief. every time i listen to james taylor i almost cry.

i always think of my family and home when i hear this , and i always cry . Grew up in Mississippi and we would pack the family in the station wagon and go see our family in NC ! It has a very special place in my heart . now im way across the world

I will be leaving in October to teach English in Indonesia, that is a very beautiful place. I am not sure I will ever come back, I am marrying and settling there as well. But one thing is for sure I am a proud North Carolinian and I believe that God has blessed no other region on his green earth with beauty like he did the Tar Heel state. ;')

This song has so much meaning. You could replace "Carolina" with your home area and this song would bring back so many great memories. James Taylor is a great songwriter.

This is one of those rare songs that nobody will dislike. You can play it for anybody, regardless of their taste, and chances are they will at the very least tolerate it...

For the past year and a half, I've been seeing a man who lives in South Carolina (I'm in Vermont.) With the passing of each trip, I find myself falling more in love with "Carolina" and it aches as much to leave there, as it does to leave him.
