He's always "kind of" acting, it's mostly him, and here's a surefire way you can tell. Watch him in the secretary, and then watch him on the blacklist, where you see his demeanor overlap is him, the rest is acting.

Some of them are! He *did* work for a carnival (the bit about the carny , and carny-speak), he *did* work for a man all summer once pulling up carpet , etc (the story Red tells ending in "Value loyalty above all else.") , and he also helped to write the "One More Time " monologue when he's in the "box" with Ressler. (I believe the one more night of jazz at the Vanguard , the "I want a bottle of wine, and then another" parts were his. )

True, but in his real him he's more charismatic. Redington has a more serious and rational way of looking and behavior. And James says "you know" all the time. Redington doesn't

This interview just proves Raymond Reddington was based on James Spader. Their intellect and demeanor are identical. You know he left the interview with dembe in the Mercedes and immediately got a call from Elizabeth or Aram about something that needed his attention. 😂😂😂 can’t wait for the new season.

The craziest thing was Kiefer Sutherland was the first choice of the producers for Raymond Reddington

I just love his voice. This man has a rare talent in our days. When he speaks he means every word he says and you simple can not take your attention out from him. Amazing actor and he deserves every award as Red Reddington .

He is such a wise man. Every story he tells is so fascinating to me.

definitely a great storyteller, i wonder if its possible to learn to speak as entertainingly as he does o.o i have the feeling that if he would sit and narrate to me a day in my life, as boring and repetitive as it is, he would still be able to make it sound way more interesting than it is and also make me 100% hooked to know what's next as if i didn't just live trough the exact day he's telling me

James Spader seems like one of the most genuine people you'd ever want to meet. I hope to meet him one day.

Whenever he starts speaking I can't resist but love him . He has this unique way of talking which makes whatever he is saying really interesting and engaging. ❤️❤️ His stories are always great.

Safe to say James Spader wasn't really acting when he was playing Robert California.

I remember working The Practice with James... he thought I was a PA, asked me for lunch & yes it was around 1-2pm, his Prime Time, and I was an Actor on the show. But I got his lunch anyway, because he's so amazing and he asked me to. I didn't say anything till we got to set, he saw me not as a PA and felt embarrassed by it all. I said don't sweat it, you had to eat, it was my pleasure! Amazing Human Being!

I absolutely adore James Spader. Such an incredibly talented man, I've loved him for as long as I can remember.

About 2 years ago James was on the show and he told this awesome story about getting high with JFK jr while Jackie O cooked dinner. It was one of the greatest stories ever.

So basically it's Raymond playing James Spader as a plot to catch another blacklister

I can't see the difference, in a good way, between Red and Spader, his character is what keeps me watching the series, He is the series!

I can't wait for the next season he's one of the best actors of all time

My favourite actor easily! His method of speaking is just so stellar. It's hypnotic so to speak

He's somehow simultaneously "in the present moment" , but also "a very old soul". He just oozes intelligence, and that is the sexiest thing on the planet , I think.

Loved him since the office and recently fell in love with blacklist. James spader is one of the most immersive actors I have ever seen on screen and i can't wait for season 7 of the blacklist.

If you appreciate that voice, the sophistication, the attitude and just the overall impression that can only be called "smooth", Spader just gets sexier and sexier over time. (I'm a hetero dude and totally comfortable saying this.)

Spader’s character in Boston Legal has a client with a son named..... Dembe. Loved this connection to Blacklist.

I just starting watching the blacklist and I am thankful that it is on Netflix!!! What a great show! James Spader has been one of my favorite actors since the 80's!

He’s pretty much just all kinds of awesome. I’m also built for night. A kindred spirit, he is.

I just realized that the special thing about him isn't that he is an amazing actor. The special thing about him is that he is an amazing person who happens to be acting Also, the man needs his own tv show

I love what he said about NYC because it’s so true. Everyone, no matter who you are, is there for the same reason - NYC. It just makes everything flow together in one stream. It’s so beautiful. By far my most favourite city. How lucky for him to actually live there and have the life he does. Incredible.

Meal at 2:30, nap right after and dinner at 9pm. That sounds like a dream 😊😌

He’s not a morning or day person at all, his day starts at 9pm hahaha...I love him even more 🥰🥰

It's crazy that he sits between Loki and Thanos in the Avengers movies. Those two antagonists over-shine Ultron and they both are shown in multiple movies. But he was amazing! Big fan of his.

The one and only underrated actor who should definitely take the role as the boss/regional manager once The Office is back rebooted in 2021

He s definitely a dictionary of how to speak the language & can b a source to students of the English language world over to learn how to speak the language..... & to speak of his acting skills... I wouldn’t hesitate to say he is THE BEST ACTOR across films of all languages .. is an understatement. I’ve watched thousands of films in a dozen languages... & I vouch fr it . Why wasn’t he seen much in all these years ! Y isn’t he in popular movies is a puzzle to say the least ..... Ive hardly noticed him in movies till I’m seeing The Black List currently.... Most underrated & unexposed... Time to see him big time on big screens

The whole time watching this I’m expecting a suppressed pistol to be wheeled out with a plottwist “Jimmy Fallon is the next name on the blacklist”...

It's comforting to know that James Spader and I have the same circadian schedule and general attitude toward life and all its nuances. Take the television thing as an example. I haven't had cable television for almost a decade and when that fact comes up in conversation I'm greeted with the same expression from people as when I tell them I don't have Facebook: a sort of shocked surprise.

Absolutely completely feel that every time I am there, just awe stuck by the history and peoples history. The little shops and all the cultures, its like an outer body/dimensional feeling! I♥️NYC!
