I'm swiss but I often travel to the UK. These guys do an amazing job. And they take lots of risks for our safety. Many thanks to them!

They Park up in strategic locations. It's so that they can get to certain spots as quickly as possible. They're not the police. They don't monitor traffic and punish offenders. Their primary role is to respond to incidents and manage them.

I drive a 15 mile stretch of the M1 twice daily (well, before lockdown). I see them very often, patrolling the motorway, assisting motorists, or parked up, monitoring a stretch of motorway, for example on a bridge overlooking the motorway.

@@pentaveratevideo They also steal £150 from people by removing cars that are safely on the hard shoulder and awaiting a breakdown service, using the subjective and BS "justification" that it's "in a vulnerable position".

They act like they're great and claim they get letters of thanks - if they do, I bet those people rethink those letters when they find out they have to pay over £100 even though a breakdown service was on its way and the car was safely on the hard shoulder (which the Highways Agency has removed from many motorways, so they can get extra money whilst risking lives).

He's got a point, they claim they only remove vehicles that are in unsafe places and that if a vehicle is safely on the hard shoulder, they'll leave to to the driver's breakdown service, but in reality, they subjectively declare that the vehicle is in a "vulnerable position" and remove it anyway to get £150. Thieving scum. And they're the same company that made motorways more dangerous by removing the hard shoulder.
