I am a tall tree
I weep like a willow
My scars are all hiding
My branches don't show
I am a tall tree
With roots like a newborn
Your wind is blowing
So over I go
Now I see storm clouds
Off in the distance
A terrible omen
A beautiful show
So Take me down easy
Take me down easy
Let me land softly
Back in your arms
I can be childish sometimes
And seem optimistically kind
But that's cause I can't go
Back down in that hole
There was no sunlight
Just ask my mother
When I treat myself hard
I crumble and fold
So Take me down easy
Take me down easy
Let me land softly
Back in your arms
So Take me down easy
Take me down easy
Let me land softly
Back in your arms
I can sing sad songs
It's easy to find them
The worst kind of heartbreak
Won't leave you alone
and peace be with you.

In my mind everything is better. Just because something is a quote doesn’t make it correct in all scenarios. Each scenario is different each moment is different. A new ideal for a new day. And today everything is a bit better. But for bojack sadly his past is catching up to him. The consequences he’s always desired but finally realized no longer needs are coming for him. Yet he’s finally found peace, and sadly... I dunno about tomorrow.

What's saddest about this half-season is that BoJack's past is going to catch up with him precisely in the most peaceful moment in his life in tens of years, but taking responsibility for every bad thing he's done is the only right way for him to accept himself. Hope he'll admit to everything in the second half of the season, then he'll be happy

To me it does not feel sad, Bojack is finally ready to confront all the shitty things he did. To face the consequences of his actions (beside Sarah Lynn's death as he is not expecting it - and probably Hollyhock finding out he was a dick), he is on the way to be free from his past, and these 2 mistakes will be the hardest and probably last things he will deal with to finally be free.

My dad died in 2016. At the time his coffin was being laid down in to the ground, this song was played on the speaker (at that time I didn't know this was the song)which the helpers had bought out. No one from my family asked them to play this song, but it was still being played. After years of therapy and coming to peace with the death of my dad, I wanted to find out which song it was but I just couldn't. I googled, KZread'd every possible keyword to the song but it was one of those songs that I just couldn't find. And when I was the episode this, the lines 'take me down easy' immediately took me back to my father's funeral as if it was happening again. God damn. It was indeed a serendipitous way to find this song. My dad's gone and so has Bojack but their memories will always strike my raw nerve.❤️

The temptation to fall back on what you know is the hardest thing you can feel. Whether it’s alcohol or your old personality, you gotta push past it. for me its better. All things need to end. And in this one we are at least getting a conclusion. For bojack he never got a proper conclusion with his mother hence why everything was worse now for him. In my mind a quote applies to a specific scenario. Each scenario a new day we must adapt to with a constantly changing new ideal. To change to the perspective of a situation good or bad is key to survival and wellbeing. It took a while for bojack to find that but he finally did. But i kinda feel bad the consequences he's desired for so long that he finally realizes he no longer needs are coming to catch up to him.

I transcripted the lyrics as I heard them, please correct me if something's wrong: I am a tall tree I weep like a willow My scars are hiding My branches don't show Yes, I am a tall tree With roots like a newborn Your wind is blowing And over I go And now I see storm clouds Up in the distance A terrible omen A beautiful show So take me down easy Take me down easy Let me land softly Back in your arms Yes, I can be childish sometimes Seem optimistically kind But that's 'cause I can't go Back down in that hole 'Cause there was no sunlight Just ask my mother When I treated myself hard I crumbled and fold So take me down easy Take me down easy Let me land softly Back in your arms Take me down easy Take me down easy Let me land softly Back in your arms Yes, I can sing sad songs It's easy to find them The worst kind of heartbreak Won't leave you alone So take me down easy Take me down easy Let me land softly Back in your arms

I'm crying so much, because I'm really comforted by the fact that all those characters, even with everything they've been through, are managing to find happiness and peace. That gives me hope. But at the same time, I'm also crying because I'm terrified by the idea that I might never work things out and never be able to reach my own peace. Anyway, Bojack is ending and I feel melancholic. This show has always felt like a warm hug from a dear friend to me. I'm gonna miss it.

This song just came back in my feed, forgot about. Forgot about Bojack, too, but this song hit me with some crazy nostalgia. Aghh what a beautiful show it was and still is. I was in a pretty bad place mentally when the show came out. And Bojack made me feel like i wasn't alone and that my life could always be worse. I am at much better head space now and am doing a lot better now too. If I could give advice to anyone reading this, it would be this. Love yourself even if it's not your natural instinct. Seek out help if you need it you are worth it. There are beautiful souls all around you, sometimes all it takes is for you to be authentic and vulnerable. You will get through no matter what is put in front of you and know that you have the power to change this world for the better but it all starts with yourself. There is a God and the light lives inside all of us. 😊

This song is so amazing. I particularly like how the chords progress according to the lyrics. Found this because of Bojack. I seriously thought this was an old James Taylor song from the '70s. So shocked to find out the album was so new it hadn't even been released yet! Great job, man. Glad to know people still make real music.
